I recently visited Jeju Island with close friends I've known since childhood for a friendly getaway.
Upon arriving in Jeju, we headed straight to Aewol for lunch, and let me tell you, choosing the restaurant was a fantastic decision!
We were eager to try the famous Jeju Galchi Jorim, and we found ourselves at Aewol Galchi Sea, where the taste, view, and atmosphere were all exceptional.
If you're planning to visit Han-dam Coastal Walkway in Jeju, make sure to stop by here for a meal; you won't regret it!
1. Prime Location of Galchi Sea
Aewol Galchi Sea is conveniently located at the entrance of Han-dam Coastal Walkway, a renowned spot in Jeju Island, making it easy to find even for first-timers.
The navigation guided us directly to the parking area, so we arrived at the restaurant without any hassle.
Not only is it close to Han-dam Coastal Walkway, but it's also near Aewol Cafe Street, making it a great spot to spend time before or after your meal.
After enjoying our lunch, we strolled along the coastal walkway and then relaxed at a cafe with coffee, followed by some shopping at a flagship store.
Everything you need is right here, making it perfect for a full day of fun!

2. Inside the Restaurant
Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a clean and modern interior, beautifully designed.
The ocean view through the windows was truly stunning, and we couldn't help but exclaim in excitement.
With the shimmering waves, our eyes sparkled as we took turns capturing photos against the breathtaking backdrop.
This place is undoubtedly one of the best spots for Jeju Galchi Jorim!
Sitting by the window, we enjoyed the view of the blue Aewol sea and the travelers walking along the coastal walkway, making for a delightful dining experience.
3. Well-Structured & Value for Money Set Menu
We ordered the signature set menu featuring boneless Jeju Galchi Jorim and grilled whole galchi, perfectly portioned for three people at 104,000 KRW!
That's about 34,700 KRW per person for a generous and delightful meal.
The meal included succulent boneless Jeju Galchi Jorim, perfectly grilled whole galchi, buttery grilled abalone, rich abalone seaweed soup, and seaweed rice with assorted side dishes.

4. Heartfelt Main Dish Review
We started with the boneless Jeju Galchi Jorim, which was incredibly convenient to eat without bones.
The thick, juicy galchi was perfectly seasoned, and I found myself scooping it up with a spoon like ice cream, placing it over rice.
The seasoning was just the right balance of spicy and sweet, making it addictive!
The tofu and tender octopus cooked alongside it were also delightful, and even our friend who dislikes vegetables enjoyed it.
This place is truly a gem!
5. Impressive Side Dishes
The texture of the seaweed rice and various side dishes were memorable.
Mixing the spicy Jeju Galchi Jorim sauce with the seaweed rice created a fantastic combination!
The rice itself was so flavorful that it was more delicious than plain white rice.
The grilled abalone was rich in buttery flavor and had an excellent chewy texture, while the seaweed soup was filled with the essence of the sea, making me feel healthier with every sip.
After our satisfying meal at Galchi Sea, we strolled along Han-dam Coastal Walkway, enjoying the beautiful scenery.
It was a moment of true healing!
