As autumn approaches,

I visited Changpo Garden with my children.

The weather was pleasantly cool,

making it a perfect day for outdoor activities.

While leisurely walking through Changpo Garden,

we enjoyed the autumn scenery and the poetry exhibits displayed throughout the area.

The exhibition currently on display is

the 51st Arim Arts Festival Poetry Exhibition.

This poetry exhibition is part of the 2026 Geochang Grand Festival

and the 54th Arim Arts Festival literary events,

with the theme Autumn Writes, Poetry Blooms.

The exhibition, organized by the Geochang Literary Society,

will be available from Tuesday, September 1,

to Sunday, October 4, at Changpo Garden.

What makes this exhibition unique is that

it takes place in the outdoor spaces of Changpo Garden,

rather than in an indoor gallery.

With the clear autumn sky and lush green landscapes as a backdrop,

the poetry pieces are scattered along the walking paths,

allowing visitors to encounter them naturally.

While strolling through the garden with my children,

I took the time to appreciate each exhibited work.

This exhibition features not only works by local poets from Geochang

but also pieces by poets from across the country who consider Geochang their hometown.

Notably, works by renowned poets from Geochang,

such as Shin Dal-ja, Shin Cheol-kyu, Shin Yong-mok, and Lee Un-jin,

are also on display, providing a closer look at Geochang's literary scene.

Experiencing poetry in an outdoor setting

offers a different feeling than viewing it in a traditional indoor exhibition.

Stopping for a moment to read a poem among the green trees and wide sky

made me feel even closer to the essence of autumn.

Although I visited with my children,

I also found time to enjoy reading the works at a leisurely pace.

One of the most memorable pieces for me was

"Time, You Rascal" by Shin Jin-ho.

As we wrapped up our visit,

I realized that the autumn scenery of Changpo Garden

was too beautiful to overlook.

On cool days like these,

it's delightful to take a slow walk and explore every corner of Changpo Garden.

If you're planning to visit Geochang during the Chuseok holiday,

I recommend enjoying both the autumn stroll and the poetry exhibition at Changpo Garden.

The poetry exhibition will continue until October 4,

so be sure to appreciate a poem you encounter along the walking paths.
