As we move deeper into autumn, the blue sky stretches high above,
with fluffy white clouds floating gracefully.
These days, the clear and bright sky brings a refreshing breeze in the mornings and evenings.
One of the best ways to enjoy this pleasant autumn weather is to take a walk.
Today, I plan to explore one of the walking spots in Gyeongbuk,
specifically Yongmaru Park in Yeongju.
Located in Geumgwang-ri, Pyeongeun-myeon, Yeongju,
Yongmaru Park offers scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere.

At Yongju Yongmaru Park 2, you can spot the suspension bridge and wooden walking paths from afar.
There is also the old Pyeongeun Station nearby.
With layers of mountains and a serene lake,
this beautiful natural environment makes it an ideal place for a healing walk.
As you stroll along the accessible wooden paths,
you will encounter two suspension bridges.
The Yongmi Bridge and Yongdu Bridge offer stunning views
that blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
While walking, you might hear the occasional sound of birds taking flight.
After crossing the two suspension bridges,
you will arrive at a fork in the path.
Both paths lead to the old Pyeongeun Station,
but one is a wooden path while the other is a forest trail.
Each path has its charm; choosing the forest trail allows you to walk on soft earth
and enjoy the view from a lookout pavilion.
If you opt for the wooden path, you can comfortably stroll while enjoying the scenery.
There are benches along the way, perfect for a short rest.
As you walk your chosen path, you will eventually reach the end of the trail,
where a quaint building awaits—restored Pyeongeun Station.
This station evokes the charm of an old train station.
A walk in Yongmaru Park is peaceful and serene,
allowing you to soak in the expansive natural landscapes.
Whether you visit alone or with a loved one,
it's a wonderful spot for a stroll.
Additionally, on your way back from Pyeongeun Station,
make sure to stop by Yongmaru Park 1,
located nearby, to enjoy the view from Yeongju Dam.
The breathtaking landscapes from above are truly magnificent.
Autumn is the perfect season for walking,
so take some time to enjoy the tranquility at Yongmaru Park in Yeongju.
