As the holiday approached, Taehwa Oil Market was bustling with people shopping, making it more vibrant than usual.
Today, I would like to share my experience visiting the Taehwa Market Oil Market and the Skywalk located across from it.
Taehwa Skywalk
Located at 300 Taehwa-ro, Jung-gu, Ulsan, this spot offers a breathtaking view of the beautiful riverside scenery of the Taehwa River.
With its open view, visitors can enjoy unique sights and experiences, making it a great complement to a visit to Taehwa Market.
Skywalk Usage Information
The Taehwa Skywalk is closed every Tuesday (if Tuesday is a holiday, it will be closed the following day) and on January 1st, Lunar New Year, and Chuseok Day.
Additionally, the facility may close in case of severe weather conditions such as rain, ice, or strong winds.

As indicated, the electric swing and net experiences are primarily operated through online reservations. However, leftover spots can be purchased on-site after making a reservation.
On a Friday afternoon, before my child returned from school, we made a reservation and visited.
After completing the reservation, a QR code for check-in was sent via text message. Scanning the QR code at the on-site ticket machine allowed us to easily obtain our tickets.
Both the Skywalk and the electric swing and net experiences are free. If you plan to visit, I recommend making a reservation in advance to enjoy your time comfortably.
First, we decided to try the net experience, which my child was most excited about.
Before the experience, we placed our belongings in a basket and followed the safety officer's guidance to descend onto the net.
The net experience is restricted for those under 100 cm in height or over 100 kg in weight, and preschoolers must enter with a guardian.
The net experience zone in the center of the Skywalk consists of a massive net where a gentle breeze flows through, making it refreshing.
Jumping around felt like a fun workout, and it was a great way to relieve stress.
There are also two large balls inside the net, allowing for a fun time rolling the balls and moving around with my child.
The net experience operates in sessions of 60 minutes, accommodating up to 20 people per session. Therefore, it is advisable to reserve early on busy weekends.
Another highlight is the electric swing, which boasts a height and scale unlike any regular playground swing. Just looking at it made me wonder, 'Is it safe to ride this?' It was a bit scary to climb up, but the thrill made it enjoyable.
From the high vantage point, the view of the Taehwa River was stunning, adding to the unique experience.
After enjoying the electric swing and net experience at Taehwa Skywalk, it was time to satisfy our hunger.
Across from the Skywalk, Taehwa Market offers a variety of food and sights, making it a lively place to explore fresh produce and delicious snacks.
Although there are several parking lots available, they can be limited on market days. Currently, the closest parking areas are the Taehwa Market 1 Public Parking Lot and the Taehwa Market Drainage Pump Station Parking Lot.
However, the Taehwa Byeol Public Parking Lot is under construction and is expected to accommodate 214 vehicles once completed on May 23, 2027.
In the future, parking concerns may be alleviated for visitors to Taehwa Market.
Taehwa Oil Market is a traditional market where you can find seasonal ingredients, operating on the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, and 30th of each month.
As it was a market day before Chuseok, many essential ingredients for the holiday were visible, including popular items like squid and octopus from the Gyeongsangdo region, as well as large fish.
This atmosphere allowed us to truly feel the festive spirit of the holiday.
Especially when seeing the neatly prepared seafood, it became clear that Chuseok was fast approaching.
No visit to Taehwa Oil Market would be complete without indulging in delicious snacks.
From refreshing bean soup to freshly fried fish cakes and spicy-sweet tteokbokki, it was the perfect way to satisfy our appetites after an exciting day at the Skywalk.
At night, the Taehwa Skywalk reveals another charm: the media facade. The darkened Skywalk comes alive with vibrant visuals and lights, creating a completely different atmosphere.
Strolling slowly through the illuminated landscape felt like walking through an outdoor exhibition.
On a cool day with a gentle river breeze, I recommend enjoying the lively market and activities during the day, and then taking a leisurely walk along the riverside at night to appreciate the media facade.
