Seoul Light DDP 2026 lit up the DDP area for 11 days, welcoming numerous domestic and international visitors.
Following this event, which connected Dongdaemun's night economy with media art content, DDP will also operate a permanent media art program called 'DDP 365 Light'.

What kind of festival was Seoul Light DDP 2026?
From September 3 to 13, 700,000 visitors explored DDP!
The DDP Oullim Square and Future Road were filled with stunning media art, performances, as well as food and shopping content!
Enjoying light and cultural content, the festival provided a delightful experience of Seoul's night.
Visitors explored nearby restaurants, cafes, and shopping malls, enjoying various activities in the Dongdaemun area.
Seoul Light DDP 2026 featured everything from media art to gourmet food exploration and shopping!
This year, visitors experienced media art on the impressive 222m DDP exterior, officially recognized by Guinness World Records in August 2025.
Instead of pre-produced videos, real-time interactive media art was showcased.
Artists performed live, while visual jockeys (VJs) created and transformed graphics, producing new media art for each performance.
Featuring pioneers of Korean media art like Nam June Paik and masters of Korean abstract art such as Yoo Youngkuk, the content was diverse!
With lasers, lights, and 3D sound, the 222m DDP exterior transformed into a massive outdoor art gallery.
During the festival, visitors enjoyed various attractions, including a craft beer pop-up, K-food zone, and picnic lounge.
Additionally, through the DDP × Dongdaemun Super Pass, DDP visits were linked to surrounding food, shopping, and tourism experiences.
