During the Chuseok holiday, we took a drive to the nearby Joan-myeon and stopped by a BBQ restaurant.

It was such a delightful evening enjoying BBQ at a restaurant in Namyangju, filled with the scent of oak and the refreshing breeze from the Bukhangang River.

My husband, our eldest daughter, and I gathered together for a cozy meal, grilling meat and sharing laughter. The pre-cooked, carefully prepared oak-grilled meat was tender and juicy, free of any unpleasant odors, leaving us in awe with every bite.

There couldn’t be a better place to create warm memories while sharing delicious food with loved ones.

Located at 1132 Bukhangang-ro, Hwado-eup, Namyangju, the restaurant is an excellent spot for a drive. The open area along the Bukhangang River makes it easy to stop by while enjoying a scenic drive.

Parking is convenient with a spacious and comfortable lot next to the restaurant, making it easy for novice drivers. The friendly parking staff enhances the overall experience from the moment you arrive.

The charming scenery of the Bukhangang River combined with the outdoor BBQ area created a delightful atmosphere, making us feel like we were at an amusement park. In the evening, the outdoor tables are beautifully lit, adding to the ambiance.

On one side of the yard, oak logs were burning, filling the air with warmth and a delicious smoky scent.

The indoor space is spacious, with ample distance between tables, making it perfect for family gatherings. The large windows provide a refreshing view of the outside, creating a cozy atmosphere.

Initially, basic side dishes are served, and additional items can be obtained from the self-serve bar. Fresh lettuce, pickled onions, kimchi, chili, garlic, and sauces are available.

The fresh lettuce and perilla leaves were so good that we refilled them twice. Mushrooms, which pair well with BBQ, are also available for 3,000 won per pack.

The basic setup includes simple items like dipping sauce, lettuce, and pickled green onions, which complement the meat perfectly.

Side dishes like seasoned bean sprouts and kimchi are essential, along with pickled onions for added freshness. These simple yet harmonious accompaniments enhance the main dish.

The biggest charm of this place is that the oak-grilled meat is prepared with care and brought to your table immediately after ordering.

This means you can grill it a bit more on the tabletop grill and enjoy it without a long wait. The subtle oak aroma beautifully complements the meat's flavor, making every bite a burst of deliciousness.

We grilled the meat a bit more, achieving a crispy exterior and juicy interior. There was no need for separate heat adjustments; it was perfectly cooked right on the table.

My husband and daughter, who hadn't gathered in a while, couldn’t stop praising how tender and flavorful the meat was, making it hard to put down their chopsticks. This place truly delivers an exceptional outdoor BBQ experience in Namyangju.

Whether dipping the perfectly grilled meat in sauce or wrapping it in lettuce, we found ourselves eating more than usual, perhaps due to the enjoyable atmosphere or the delightful meal. Dining out really does make everything taste better!

During weekend evenings, the window seats and outdoor tables are quite popular, so I recommend making a reservation in advance. The pre-grilled meat has a strong smoky flavor, so wrapping it with the fresh side dishes enhances the overall taste.

On a beautiful autumn day, it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy delicious BBQ with loved ones while creating happy memories.
