Recently, I've been visiting the site of the 11th Ulsan Ulju World Mountain Film Festival every day as part of the on-site documentation team.
Over the past few days, I've realized that this festival is more than just watching films; it’s a celebration where you can experience performances, engage in activities, and hear stories from various people amidst the beautiful nature of Ulju.
The festival runs from September 18 (Friday) to September 22 (Tuesday), 2026, at the Yeongnam Alps Complex Welcome Center.
The opening ceremony on September 18 was filled with excitement. With a large audience gathered, the stage opened to kick off the festival, followed by a celebratory performance that filled the venue with anticipation.
It was a joy to meet actor Jung Il-woo and the charming Seo Jun-young after a long time!
We also saw Park Jun-seok from Taesaja and the beloved YouTuber Sunwoo Yongnyeo, as well as Jung Joon-ho. It was a moment that made me feel why the festival has gained so much love from citizens and audiences over the years.
The ceremony was hosted by Park Jae-min and UMFF ambassador Ham Eun-jung of T-ara.
The biggest charm of the Ulsan Ulju World Mountain Film Festival is the variety of venues where films can be enjoyed. From tent theaters, Alps theaters, Ump theaters, forest theaters, deck theaters, hill theaters, to car camping theaters, each screening venue offers its own unique charm, allowing audiences to choose according to their preferences.
