Exploring Mulneoul Park and Haetdong Park in Busan
I recently visited Mulneoul Park, located in Yongso-ri, Jeonggwan-eup.
Adjacent to the Jeonggwan Haemoro Apartments, Mulneoul Park covers an area of 11,476.5 square meters.
While it may not be a large park, it serves as a convenient recreational space for local residents.
The park is open 24 hours, making it great for morning exercises or evening walks.
One of the most striking features is the walking trail lined with lush trees.
Even in the sweltering heat, stepping into the park felt refreshing.
Recently, Mulneoul Park underwent renovations, enhancing its beauty.
They planted 40,000 flowers of 70 different species, harmonizing them with the existing trees.
Old benches and tables were replaced, and resting facilities were improved for user convenience.
The park now features a garden-style design that integrates well with the existing trees, creating a serene atmosphere for relaxation.
This transformation aims to expand the residents' recreational space, improve living conditions, mitigate urban heat island effects and fine dust, and establish a foundation for climate change response.
A new garden called Maebaugol Forest Garden has also been created.
The area is designed to provide citizens with a clean walking space free from fine dust, reminiscent of the old terrain.
The streams with mist create an enchanting atmosphere with various stones and plants, making you feel as if you've stepped into a deep forest.
Although the mist quickly disappeared due to the wind, the remaining haze under the newly created resting area added a dreamy ambiance.
Mulneoul Park also offers spaces for badminton, basketball, and tennis, along with exercise facilities for adults and playgrounds for children.
Benches and resting areas are conveniently located throughout the park for relaxation.
Haetdong Children's Park is located at 722 Maehaeng-ri, Jeonggwan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan.
This small community park is frequently used by residents and children from the nearby Dongwon Royal Duke Apartments.
It features safe play equipment like a combination play structure, perfect for young children.
There are also benches and shaded areas for guardians to relax while supervising their children.
The park spans approximately 1,995 square meters and was designated as a children's park in 2007.
The first thing that caught my eye were the small yellow flowers and plants, which reminded me of my granddaughter who used to bend down to admire them.
Haetdong Park recently underwent renovations as well, improving or replacing old play equipment for children's safety.
They also revamped the flooring and walking spaces to reduce slipping and falling risks.
The improvements to benches and resting facilities have made it a more comfortable space for guardians and residents.
The overall landscaping and environment of the park have been enhanced to create a more pleasant atmosphere.
Once the weather cools down a bit, it will be a perfect spot for children to come and play.
