When planning a camping trip, the first thing to consider is the location.

As of July 2026, approximately 20,000 public resources, including spatial facilities, sports facilities, and educational programs, are registered on the Gyeonggi Sharing Service.

During my research for this article, I personally explored the facilities available on the Gyeonggi Sharing Service.
Finding a public camping site on the Gyeonggi Sharing Service was not difficult.
After accessing the service, I selected the public camping site menu.
By choosing 'General Information' from the main menu, I was able to locate the public camping section.
Clicking on public camping sites revealed their locations within Gyeonggi-do.
By examining the desired region and facility conditions, I could check the information for various public camping sites.
You can also filter by criteria such as whether the site is suitable for glamping, has a caravan, allows pets, or includes a swimming pool.
As the weather got warmer, I selected the option for 'sites with caravans,' which yielded 21 camping sites in Gyeonggi-do.
The convenience of not having to visit multiple municipal and operational agency websites to find a camping site was a significant advantage.
I chose the KINTEX camping site in Goyang City and found detailed information about it.
KINTEX camping site is located near KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang City, and offers 15 gravel spots, 38 caravan spots, and 25 auto camping spots.
Unlike typical camping sites located in remote areas, KINTEX camping site is conveniently situated close to the urban center.
To see the facilities in person rather than just on screen, I decided to visit the KINTEX camping site.
Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was the accessibility.
Being close to KINTEX, Goyang Sports Complex, and Daehwa Station, the atmosphere is different from that of camping sites located in the suburbs.
For citizens who might feel burdened by long travels or are new to camping, this urban camping site is a relatively accessible option.
The presence of major roads and various urban infrastructures makes the transition from the city to the camping site feel natural.
For residents who find it challenging to travel far for camping, urban public camping sites like this can be a viable choice.
However, before visiting, it’s advisable to check public transportation routes, driving directions, and parking options based on your starting point.
Inside the camping site, various zones were clearly marked, and necessary facilities were available throughout.
The grassy area is designated as a family camping zone where visitors must transport their belongings using provided carts after parking.
The auto camping zone is located on gravel, allowing parking next to tents for a more convenient camping experience.
The spacious sites and well-maintained facilities, including restrooms, wash basins, and shower areas, contribute to a pleasant camping experience.
KINTEX camping site operates on a reservation-only basis, with bookings opening on the 10th of each month at 10 AM for the following month.
If the 10th falls on a weekend, reservations will begin the following Monday at 10 AM.
Visitors must bring their ID, and transfers of reservations are not allowed.
Cancellations or unbooked sites can be utilized on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 2 PM, but same-day reservations by phone are not permitted.
Pets are not allowed, so if you plan to visit with family or friends, it’s essential to check this in advance.
Minors must be accompanied by a guardian.
Since operating schedules, fees, and reservation criteria can change, it’s best to verify the Gyeonggi Sharing Service and KINTEX camping site’s official information before making a reservation.
