Recently, I visited Ondae Restaurant in Paldang for a day trip with friends.
The moment we entered, we were awestruck by the expansive view of the Han River and the beautiful outdoor garden.
We had a delightful time enjoying delicious food that pleased both our eyes and taste buds. It's a perfect spot for gatherings or dates, and I found myself wanting to return soon.
The lovely outdoor garden combined with the Han River view made our experience even better. It's a place where you can enjoy both tasty food and stunning scenery.
When you go up to the second floor, you can appreciate a fantastic ocean view along with the Han River panorama. It was an ideal drive destination on a nice day. Now, let me share my experience at Ondae Restaurant, which I recommend for a date in Paldang.
???? Location of Ondae Restaurant
Address: 38, Gyeonggang-ro 926beon-gil, Wabu-eup, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, 1st and 2nd floors
Operating Hours: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Located in Paldang, Wabu-eup, Namyangju-si, it's a great weekend outing spot. With the Han River right in front, it boasts a fantastic route for a drive.
???? Parking Information
There is ample dedicated parking space next to the restaurant entrance, making it easy to park. Visitors, including novice drivers, can come without worrying about parking. Moreover, after your meal, you can visit the nearby Han River Museum to admire wonderful artworks and enjoy a complimentary drink. There’s also a discount event for those visiting both places, so I recommend checking it out.
???? Outdoor Garden
The spacious outdoor garden, harmonizing with the open Han River landscape, was impressive. The lush green grass and well-maintained garden made it perfect for a stroll.
There were many photo zones under the blue sky, making it easy to take pictures against the Han River backdrop. I also took some photos while sitting on a bench in the garden.
???? Cozy Interior
The modern yet warm wooden tones created a comfortable atmosphere. Sunlight poured in through large windows, providing a breathtaking view of the Han River.
The table spacing was generous, allowing for pleasant conversations with friends while dining. Additionally, the overall clean and stylish interior added to the comfort.
From tables for two to larger ones, various seating options were available to accommodate different group sizes. Orders could be placed via a tablet on the table.
The interior was so charming that I took some photos while waiting for my order. Since they open at 11 AM, I had the luxury of time. By noon, customers began to arrive for lunch, mostly couples, but I noticed several groups of individuals in their 40s and 50s, confirming its reputation as a popular dining spot in Paldang.
????️ Enjoying the Meal
We started with a Fig Cheese Salad. As the name suggests, it featured figs and cheese, and the combination of the fig's crunchiness and the cheese's richness was surprisingly delicious. You could definitely taste the quality in just this salad.
Next was the Garden Salad. If you prefer a fresh and clean style, I recommend the Garden Salad. Personally, I favored the Fig Cheese Salad.
We also received some basic sauces and pickles. Today, I was prepared to eat a lot, so I ordered a drink as well.
We tried the Papa Pizza, which had a unique name. It contained bulgogi and red onions, evoking nostalgic memories. The dough was soft, making it easy to finish every bite.
The Truffle Mushroom Cream Pasta was delightful, with the truffle aroma, mushroom flavor, and creamy texture exceeding my expectations.
Curious about the tteokbokki, I ordered it and found it to be unexpectedly delicious. The slightly spicy flavor with thick broth made it even better.
The 7DAYS Cheese Pizza was a standout, with a combination of seven cheeses and refreshing yuzu syrup that made it irresistibly tasty. This pizza was undoubtedly my favorite dish at Ondae, and everyone agreed it was fantastic.
We ordered a variety of delicious dishes to share and enjoyed the freshness of the Garden Salad and the zesty Fig Cheese Salad to start. The truffle aroma of the Truffle Mushroom Cream Pasta and the interesting texture of the pasta were truly appealing. The rich flavor of the 7DAYS Cheese Pizza and the unique taste of the Papa Pizza added to our satisfaction. With the addition of the slightly spicy tteokbokki, we had a clean and enjoyable meal without any heaviness.
???? Useful Tips
Since window seats are popular, I recommend making a reservation if you want to enjoy a leisurely view of the Han River. Don't forget to step out to the outdoor garden after your meal to capture some memorable photos against the beautiful backdrop.
