Hello from Sinan County!
We are committed to minimizing healthcare gaps in our island regions and ensuring the health of our residents.
We have deployed a total of 47 healthcare professionals, including 36 new public health doctors, across local health institutions.
The newly appointed public health doctors consist of 12 medical doctors, 14 dentists, and 10 traditional medicine practitioners.
Together with the existing 11 personnel, they have been strategically placed in 13 health centers and medical institutions.
In particular, we have assigned 2 doctors to each of the 5 islands—Heuksando, Hahakdo, Sinuido, Jangsando, and Gagido—where access to healthcare is relatively challenging.
This allows us to establish a 24-hour medical service system that can respond immediately during nights and weekends.
We expect this will enable us to provide faster and more reliable medical services even in emergencies.
However, due to a nationwide trend of decreasing numbers of public health doctors, we have seen a slight reduction in personnel compared to last year.
To minimize healthcare gaps, we will actively promote various medical support measures, such as regular weekly visits to different regions, telemedicine, and remote consultations.
Moving forward, Sinan County will faithfully fulfill the essential role of public healthcare, especially given our geographical conditions and aging population.
We aim to be a strong support in safeguarding the health of our residents.
