The 22nd Poeun Cultural Festival was held in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, honoring the loyalty and scholarship of Jeong Mong-ju, a loyalist and Confucian scholar from the late Goryeo period.
This year's festival, which took place over two days from October 10 to 11, was a meaningful event commemorating the 620th anniversary of Jeong Mong-ju's tomb. It served as a platform to reflect on the value of our history and cultural heritage through various traditional cultural programs. In particular, the festival site and Jeong Mong-ju's tomb allowed attendees to feel the historical significance that has endured over the years.
The Yongin Cultural Center is committed to preserving the historical and cultural values of the region through the Poeun Cultural Festival, enabling citizens to engage more closely with our traditional culture.
This is a time to remember history and carry traditions into the future.
