Hello, I am Dohwa Ju, a blogger from Ulsan City.

Today, I would like to introduce Ulsan's 'Path of Abundance' on the 9th course of the 'Love for the Environment' program.

We started at the outdoor performance hall and moved through Ulsan Daegong, the Metasequoia Road, the Pond of Abundance, the Environmental Theme Play Facility, and finally to the Wigalti Pond.

◆ Overview

Activity Duration: 2 hours (3.6 km)

Date: September 7, 2026, September 17

Weather: Clear (Hot)

Starting Point (Outdoor Performance Hall)

The outdoor performance hall can accommodate 2,500 people and is one of the key attractions in Ulsan Grand Park where local residents and tourists can enjoy culture and nature together.

It is the perfect space to start the 'Path of Abundance,' providing a comfortable starting point for both walks and volunteer activities.

The outdoor performance hall is an open stage harmoniously integrated with nature, featuring semi-circular seating that allows many people to gather and enjoy cultural events.

The spacious and comfortable seating shown in the pictures provides a relaxing place to rest and enjoy, with the surrounding lush trees offering cool shade even in the summer.

Just as the peaceful and pleasant atmosphere captured in the photos, we happily began our exploration of the Path of Abundance here.

1st Stop (Ulsan Daegong)

The 'Ulsan Daegong' is a large bell symbolizing peace and hope in our region. Every New Year’s Day, a bell-ringing ceremony is held, delivering deep emotions to local residents and visitors.

This spacious East Gate Plaza serves as a natural resting spot and vibrant community space for Ulsan citizens, where nature and people coexist, sharing their stories amidst the busy daily life.

The Baengnok Garden is a representative space in Ulsan Grand Park where nature and people harmonize, becoming a warm companion during your precious walking time.

2nd Stop (Metasequoia Road)

The Ulsan Metasequoia Road is a beloved spot nationwide, known for its beauty and unique atmosphere, providing a healing space for many visitors.

Recently, 'barefoot walking' has gained popularity, and Ulsan Metropolitan City has enhanced visitor satisfaction by providing equipment storage and facilities around the barefoot walking area.

Metasequoia Road is an ecological cultural space where one can practice walking, resting, and loving the environment simultaneously.

3rd Stop (Pond of Abundance)

The 'Pond of Abundance' is a landmark pond welcoming visitors at the center of Ulsan Grand Park. Its calm waters and surrounding greenery create a peaceful landscape reminiscent of a watercolor painting.

The 'Aquasis' within Ulsan Grand Park is an ecological space themed around the harmony of nature and water, designed for visitors to closely experience and observe aquatic plants and underwater ecosystems.

4th Stop (Environmental Theme Play Facility)

This facility is an eco-friendly educational space where one can directly experience natural phenomena and scientific principles, especially ideal for families with children.

The spacious environment allows parents to comfortably watch and communicate with their children, making it highly recommended for family visits.

5th Stop (Wigalti)

The Rose Garden and the entrance plaza to the zoo present stunning scenery, with blooming roses boasting various colors and fragrances captivating visitors.

The Wigalti Reservoir, surrounded by lush forests, offers a cozy waterside space. The tranquil reflection of the sky and trees creates a peaceful atmosphere.

The reservoir is a hidden gem in Ulsan Grand Park, providing a precious retreat to escape the busy city life and connect with quiet nature.

Activity Review: The 'Path of Abundance' is a walking course where nature and culture blend, centered around Ulsan Grand Park. Starting from the outdoor performance hall, it stretches about 4 km, allowing participants to enjoy nature while reflecting on the importance of environmental protection.

In the park, the cozy building of Jigwa House, nestled in the forest, serves as a peaceful retreat harmonized with nature, perfect for a moment of rest during your walk.
