Hanam Youth Cultural Center
2nd Floor, 93 Ogok-ro, Chilwon-eup, Hanam-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do
Today, I visited the 'Hanam Youth Cultural Center' located in Chilwon-eup, Hanam-gun, which provides a pleasant space for play and learning for local youth and convenient civic services for residents.
The building's exterior is vibrant and energetic, and the interior is thoughtfully organized across three floors.
Upon entering the first floor, I found a very useful space not only for youth but for all local residents—the 'Chilwon Ogok Civil Service Center.'
Here, you can conveniently obtain various certificates such as resident registration and seal certificates without having to travel far to the town office. It is open for use on all days except Sundays and public holidays.
Moving up to the second floor, there is a relaxing space where youth can safely enjoy their time after school or on weekends. It features well-maintained PCs for homework or gaming.
A wall filled with bookshelves offers a variety of reading materials, including educational books, comics, and novels, as well as board games for healthy recreational activities.
Inside the second floor, you can find classrooms for the Dream Light Class and Star Light Class, where the Hanam Youth After School Academy operates systematically.
This space provides tailored learning support for elementary and middle school students in essential subjects such as Korean, math, English, social studies, and science. It also offers diverse experiential activities to develop students' talents and skills.
On the third floor, there is a cultural and artistic area where youth can fully express their musical sensitivity and artistic talents. Facilities include dance practice rooms, band rehearsal spaces, a coin karaoke room, and a cooking practice area.
Equipped with drums, electric guitars, bass guitars, keyboards, amplifiers, and sound equipment, this space allows music-interested youth to jam together, relieve stress, and prepare for impressive performances.
A popular spot for kids is the karaoke facilities named 'High Note' and 'Low Note,' which can be reserved in advance for specific time slots.
The Chef Dream Room, located on the third floor, is a cooking practice area with a clean countertop, large refrigerator, and various cooking tools. Through after-school programs and weekend special experiences, youth can engage in cooking and baking, gaining insights into food-related careers while enjoying delicious meals together.
The Hanam Youth Cultural Center serves as a warm haven and learning space for youth to explore their dreams and talents. It also provides convenient civic services for local residents.
For youth looking to spend enriching time after school and parents wanting to support their children's diverse hobbies, utilizing the Hanam Youth Cultural Center could be a great option.
