As autumn arrives, I often feel the urge to escape to distant places.

However, I didn’t want to visit popular tourist spots crowded with people.

I sought a place where I could walk slowly, listen to the sound of the wind,

and stand in front of the autumn scenery without any thoughts for a while.

This time, I headed to Yeongyang in Gyeongsangbuk-do.

Upon entering Yeongyang, the scenery outside the car window changed instantly.

The mountains were gradually mixing shades of green, yellow, and red,

and as I drove along the road, I felt the sensation of truly entering autumn.

This trip took me to two places in Yeongyang, each with its own charm:

Seonbawi Tourist Area and Seoseokji.

At Seonbawi, I slowly admired the refreshing landscape created by the towering cliffs and calm waters.

Then, at Seoseokji, I walked among tiled roofs, ponds, and ancient trees,

experiencing a more tranquil autumn.

Though both places are in Yeongyang, one offers an expansive view,

while the other feels like autumn is carefully collected within a small garden.

Rather than rushing through flashy tourist spots,

I wanted a day to slow down and truly feel autumn.

Today, I will introduce a recommended autumn course in Yeongyang,

from Seonbawi Tourist Area to Seoseokji.

Seonbawi Tourist Area

Location: 883-16, Yeongyang-ro, Ipam-myeon, Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do

Operating Hours: Open year-round; operating hours vary by facility.

Arriving at Seonbawi Tourist Area, the first thing that caught my eye was the spacious parking lot

and the autumn mountain scenery that followed.

The ample space made parking hassle-free,

and from the parking lot, I could see trees adorned in yellow and red,

making me feel that I had truly arrived for an autumn trip.

As I ventured a bit further inside,

the autumn scenery of Seonbawi Tourist Area unfolded before me.

A wide grassy area surrounded by pine and maple trees created a perfect autumn atmosphere,

with fallen leaves adding to the seasonal charm.

Most impressive was the long, rocky cliff and mountain scenery behind,

where trees tinged with red and yellow contrasted beautifully against the rugged mountains.

Walking through the area, I found it surprisingly spacious,

which made exploring enjoyable.

As I followed the walking path, I encountered trees beginning to change colors,

creating a natural autumn landscape.

Along the way, I also discovered a charming outdoor stage,

perfectly framed by the autumn foliage.

After exploring Seonbawi, I headed to Seoseokji.

Upon arrival, the first thing that caught my eye was a ginkgo tree stretching its branches over the wall.

With its yellow leaves and the traditional tiled roof of an old hanok,

the atmosphere was completely different from the majestic natural scenery of Seonbawi.

As I wandered around Seoseokji, the traditional buildings created a serene ambiance.

Here, I could enjoy the unique calmness of Yeongyang.

After visiting both Seonbawi Tourist Area and Seoseokji,

I realized that even within Yeongyang, the experience of autumn can be quite different.

From the expansive natural landscapes to the tranquil hanoks and ginkgo trees,

how about taking a leisurely stroll through the autumn of Yeongyang this fall?
