As you plan your refreshing summer vacation,
many of you might be considering a trip to the cool East Sea in Pohang!
This vacation season, let me introduce you to a special spot for stunning photos,
the Gonryun Mountain Paragliding Site.
Gonryun Mountain stands at a modest elevation of 177 meters.
In 2019, a paragliding launch site was established here.
The view from the summit is breathtaking,
allowing you to feel the openness all around.
It's a popular destination for capturing life’s memorable moments.
Although the altitude is relatively low,
the ascent begins steeply.
From the parking area at the paragliding site to the summit is about 1 km,
taking roughly 20 minutes to hike,
but the steep incline can be daunting.
However, once you reach the top,
you will quickly realize that the effort is worth it.
Make sure to bring water and a hat to shield yourself from the sun!
After passing the steep hill at the entrance,
you will find the hiking trail leading to Gonryun Mountain.
Once on the trail, a refreshing breeze will greet you,
making even July feel pleasantly cool.
The trail is well-maintained,
so it's not difficult to climb.
As your view begins to open up,
you'll start to see asphalt paths again.
At this point, you're almost at the paragliding site!
The landscape, with lush greenery meeting the blue sky,
is nothing short of picturesque.
At the summit, there is a safety control center for paragliding.
On weekends, you can see many paragliders,
adding to the unique scenery.
The view of the Chilpo Beach panorama is stunning,
offering a sight you won't find anywhere else.
The horizon meets the clear summer sky,
providing a refreshing feeling.
You can sit and enjoy the cool sea breeze,
making it a perfect spot to relax.
The beauty of the landscape means that even spontaneous photos can turn out amazing.
