Location: 115 Seob-gil, Eumseong-eup, Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do (Bonghakgol Forest Bathing Area / Bonghakgol Garden)

On a day greeted by clear air and blue skies, I visited Bonghakgol Garden located in Eumseong-gun, Chungbuk.
Recently designated as Chungcheongbuk-do's first local garden, Bonghakgol Garden has transformed into a richer and more beautiful ecological relaxation space.
It was the perfect place to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Upon arriving at Bonghakgol Garden, the first thing I appreciated was the spacious and comfortable parking area.
Even for first-time visitors, the convenience of parking without worry made it stand out.
As I entered the walking trail from the parking lot, I felt the refreshing mountain air fill my lungs.
A long walkway welcomed me as I headed towards the garden.
Colorful flowers bloomed beautifully on both sides of the trail, making each step a delight for the eyes.
The well-maintained path was easy to walk on, with various flower species showcasing their unique colors.
The abundance of blooming flowers everywhere prompted me to take out my camera.
From the round and cute pink cosmos to the gentle purple flowers blending with the trail's walls,
and seasonal plants reminiscent of silver grass, they created a perfect harmony.
I felt that every corner of the garden was meticulously cared for, and simply strolling while inhaling the fragrant flowers provided a true sense of visual cleansing and healing.
On the day of my visit, a beautiful hibiscus exhibition was taking place inside Bonghakgol Garden.
It was a meaningful time to see various species and colors of hibiscus, the national flower of Korea, all in one place.
I also had the chance to view rare hibiscus varieties that are not commonly seen,
making it an educational space suitable for visiting with children.
In addition to this hibiscus exhibition, Bonghakgol Garden plans to continuously operate various seasonal and themed exhibitions and experiential programs,
so those planning to visit should check the schedule in advance for a more fulfilling trip.
After exploring Bonghakgol Garden, I moved on to the adjacent Bonghakgol Yellow Clay Path.
This Yellow Clay Path is a representative healing trail that cares for the health of both local residents and visitors.
It is well-designed for walking barefoot on soft and cushy yellow clay,
allowing you to fully experience the natural sensations underfoot.
There are also clean foot-washing facilities available after walking barefoot.
Alongside the Yellow Clay Path, you can also ascend the 'Mountain Path,' one of the Bonghakgol Three-Color Paths.
This trail offers a light forest bathing experience while providing a hiking atmosphere.
Notably, the barrier-free sharing path has been meticulously designed with gentle deck paths, eliminating stairs or curbs.
This inclusive space allows individuals using wheelchairs, strollers, seniors, and children to safely enjoy a walk in the woods without any inconvenience.
Bonghakgol Garden, designated as a Chungbuk local garden, has established itself as a more attractive ecological retreat.
From the splendid array of garden flowers to the barefoot yellow clay path and the accessible sharing path for all,
I recommend enjoying a healing walk this weekend with the refreshing pine breeze in this well-equipped place!
