A Perfect Indoor Destination for Kids: Seonggeo Print Museum in Jincheon
Today, I visited the Seonggeo Print Museum in Jincheon, a wonderful indoor destination for kids, without worrying about the weather.
As I reminisced about my childhood art classes, where I used carving knives to create prints like stamps, I enjoyed the beautiful artworks on display.

The Seonggeo Print Museum, which opened in 2010, is the first modern print museum in South Korea.
Not only does it exhibit and collect contemporary print works, but it also offers educational and experiential programs accessible to everyone, from children to adults, making it a beloved cultural space for local residents and print enthusiasts.
The museum is located within the Jincheon History Theme Park, alongside the Jincheon Traditional Paper Museum and the Metal Casting Training Center.
With ample parking available, visiting on weekends is hassle-free.
Moreover, it is conveniently close to major attractions like Baekgokji and the Baekgokcheon Water Park, making it perfect for a day trip that combines art and outdoor activities.
After purchasing tickets, I began exploring the museum.
A single ticket grants access to the Seonggeo Print Museum, the Jincheon Traditional Paper Museum, and the Metal Casting Training Center.
In addition to the permanent exhibition at the paper museum, the Metal Casting Training Center is currently hosting a special exhibition titled "Anywhere, for Anyone" featuring works from resident artists, running until September 27.

Currently, the Seonggeo Print Museum is showcasing a collection exhibition titled "Etching Nature's Textures, Printing the Layers of the Heart" until August 30.
Visitors can admire works that realistically depict natural landscapes and prints that reflect the artist's inner feelings about nature.
The exhibition features a wide range of works, from traditional printmaking techniques to contemporary pieces that blend modern technology.
The vibrant and refreshing colors of summer are evident in many works, making the visit a delightful experience for both the eyes and the heart.
While closely examining the prints, I discovered signatures that differed from typical paintings.
Due to the nature of printmaking, each piece is signed by the artist to guarantee its value.
The signature, serial number, and print notation are located at the bottom of each work, adding an element of fun to the exploration.
After viewing the exhibition, I participated in a stamp printmaking experience, creating prints of the famous Nongdari bridge in Jincheon.
In addition to the stamp printmaking, various free experiences are available, making it a great visit with kids at the end of the vacation.
After exploring the small souvenir shop next to the information desk, I concluded my visit to the museum.
I highly recommend the Seonggeo Print Museum as a great indoor destination for families.
