Udon Kino-ya in Nohyeong-dong is a hidden gem for both tourists and locals in Jeju. If you're looking for a delicious meal, especially when your appetite is low, this is the place to go. The quality of the udon and katsu here rivals that of what you would find in Japan.

Located just a 10-minute drive from the airport, Udon Kino-ya in Nohyeong is perfect for your first or last meal in Jeju. The restaurant is easily identifiable thanks to its prominent signage and spacious layout. Parking is available on the side road in front of the restaurant.
To avoid long waits, I recommend arriving early. We went right at opening time and found no waiting line at all.

2. A Great Place for Solo Diners and Groups
The interior of the restaurant features both a hall and private rooms, providing a variety of seating options. It's an excellent choice for solo diners and groups alike. The individual seating arrangements allow for a comfortable meal without feeling self-conscious.
The restaurant maintains high hygiene standards, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
3. Menu and Ordering List
Udon Kino-ya offers a diverse menu catering to all ages. From 30cm deep-fried eel to aged abalone udon, 48-hour aged katsu, and gyudon (beef bowl), the options are impressive. We decided to try the signature eel bukkake udon, mixed udon, tenderloin katsu, soba, and a side of loin katsu.
4. Masterfully Crafted Udon and Soba
The eel bukkake udon was visually stunning, topped with a whole deep-fried eel. The texture was delightful, and the flavors were exceptional. The udon noodles were perfectly chewy and held their texture throughout the meal.
The mixed udon, generously topped with ingredients, was delicious when mixed with the special sauce. It’s a perfect summer dish!
The soba noodles had a higher buckwheat content than most places, offering a rich flavor. The broth was neither too sweet nor too salty, making it easy to enjoy the noodles.
5. Melt-in-Your-Mouth Katsu
The katsu was equally impressive, with juicy tenderloin that melted in your mouth. Both the tenderloin and side loin katsu were clean and flavorful, making you feel like you were enjoying a gourmet steak.
Udon Kino-ya is a true culinary treasure, showcasing authentic udon and excellent handmade katsu. If you're craving quality Japanese cuisine, don't hesitate to visit!
