Recommended Restaurants for Families at Shinhwa World, Jeju

Traveling to Jeju with kids is always exciting, but choosing meals can be quite stressful. You want to feed them different and delicious dishes for every meal, which requires a lot of thought.
However, staying at Shinhwa World made this concern much easier. With a variety of restaurants available, it was fun to choose, and the convenience of location was great.
Among the places we visited, our family unanimously enjoyed the restaurant we recommend at Shinhwa World, so if you're traveling to Jeju with kids, make sure to stop by and enjoy a meal here.
The restaurant was spacious and clean, with a tidy setup and unique straw-grilled dishes, making it a wonderful dining experience.
1. Shinhwa World Theme Park
The theme park opened around 10 AM, and before lunch, we had a great time playing. The distance from the theme park to the restaurant was just a 30-second walk, making it easy to move quickly when hunger struck.
After enjoying rides and performances for about three hours, it was time to wrap things up and head to lunch.
2. Lunch Spot: Halla Won
This is the star of the day, Halla Won. The atmosphere of the restaurant was clean and upscale, and it looked spacious enough for a relaxed meal.
Upon entering, all the staff were friendly, which was a pleasant surprise!
✔Address: 38, Sinhwa History-ro 304beon-gil, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju
✔Parking: Free parking available at Shinhwa World
✔Operating hours: Daily from 11 AM to 11 PM
The interior was filled with Jeju vibes, and the cleanliness was impeccable. They took great care in maintaining the tables and utensils.
They also provided baby chairs and aprons for convenience, making it a great spot for families with young children.
3. Menu and Setup
Ordering was done via a tablet at the table, and the menu was well-structured. We chose the signature straw-grilled marinated ribs. At first, I was a bit worried about whether my child would like the flavor, but to my surprise, they enjoyed it so much that I considered ordering more!
Aside from the ribs, there were many other options like king rib soup, stone pot bibimbap, cold noodles, pork cutlet, braised hairtail, and mushroom dumpling stew.
After placing our order, various side dishes were quickly served, resembling a home-cooked meal.
Personally, I loved the stir-fried mushrooms and the stir-fried peppers with shrimp. They were not overly spicy and had a perfect balance of flavor.
If you need more side dishes, there's a self-service corner for refills, and no one minds if you take as much as you want!
4. Aromatic Straw-Grilled Marinated Ribs
Finally, the straw-grilled black pork ribs arrived, and they looked delicious. The aroma of the straw grilling was luxurious, making everyone eager to dig in.
We even got to watch the smoking process, which was a fun experience for the kids.
The quick cooking time was also a plus, allowing us to serve the ribs to our hungry child in no time.
The taste was exceptional, with the chewy yet tender texture of the black pork, enhanced by the straw smoking.
Pairing a piece of meat with fresh vegetables, radish salad, and grilled peppers was simply fantastic!
5. Rich and Deep Kimchi Stew
I also recommend the kimchi stew on the menu. It was rich and hearty, filled with black pork, making it easy to finish a bowl of rice!
The stew complemented the sweet and salty flavors of the ribs perfectly. If you're staying at Shinhwa World or looking for a family-friendly dining option in Jeju, Halla Won is definitely a safe choice.
With delicious straw-grilled meat and thoughtful services, I will surely visit again next time!
