After a long time, we gathered with my hometown friends and were looking for a place to eat. Everyone was craving something light and refreshing rather than spicy.
By chance, we stumbled upon a jjukkumi (small octopus) shabu-shabu restaurant in Pungmu-dong.
We needed a lively atmosphere to chat and enjoy our meal, and this place was perfect for us!
Recently, I've been feeling stressed due to work, and I wanted to unwind with a drink in a cozy setting.
The place truly amazed us, and I highly recommend it!

As we settled down and looked at the menu, there was a great variety.
Without hesitation, we ordered the 'Jjukkumi Set'. It was just the right amount for the three of us.
The set includes jjukkumi shabu-shabu, spring flatfish, whole fried squid, noodles, and even a porridge to finish off!
It was perfect for drinking—tempura, broth, sashimi, and carbs!
When the set was served, it looked incredibly generous.
Fresh vegetables like watercress, bean sprouts, bok choy, and mushrooms were piled high.
The broth was clear yet rich in flavor, and just looking at it made me feel refreshed.
When I first tasted the broth, I thought, 'Ah, this is the flavor.'
It was a clear and refreshing taste, likely due to the fresh ingredients.
As we began to add the vegetables and jjukkumi into the pot, the aroma of the watercress added a delightful touch.
The jjukkumi was incredibly tender, melting in my mouth—it was truly delicious.
One of the highlights of the set was the whole fried squid and spring flatfish.
The tempura remained crispy even after some time, and it was a perfect match for our drinks.
We also tried the spring flatfish, which was a delightful surprise in a shabu-shabu.
It was tender and flavorful, and when dipped in the broth, it just melted in my mouth.
We decided to add the grilled cold jjukkumi to our order, and it was incredibly tasty!
The variety of delicious options made this place stand out.
After enjoying our main dishes, it was time to finish with some carbs.
We added noodles to the broth, which absorbed all the flavors beautifully.
After finishing the noodles, they prepared porridge with the remaining broth, which was another treat.
It was a clear broth, but the rich flavors of the vegetables and seafood were concentrated, making it comforting.
The entire experience was seamlessly connected, and there was never a dull moment.
Overall, the staff was incredibly attentive, making our meal enjoyable.
I had no idea this place would be such a gem!
If you're in the area, I highly recommend visiting Gimpo Jjukkumi for a delightful meal.
Our experience at this jjukkumi shabu-shabu restaurant was truly satisfying, and I left feeling full and happy, especially thinking about that refreshing broth!
If you're looking for fresh ingredients and a place to unwind with a drink, Gimpo Jjukkumi is a must-visit.
