2026 Goyang International Flower Festival: Tips and Highlights

Hello!
In May, when spring is at its peak,
Ilsan Lake Park is filled with the fragrance of flowers.
On April 24th, the '2026 Goyang International Flower Festival' finally opened.
I visited the venue and it was bustling with people.
Let me share some highlights and ticket discount tips for the festival!
"2026 Goyang International Flower Festival: Ticket Discounts and Top 5 Attractions!"
Before heading to the festival, the first thing to consider is purchasing tickets wisely.
Here’s a clear breakdown of the 'entrance fees' and 'discount benefits' for 2026:
✅ On-site sales
✔ General admission: 15,000 KRW (ages 19 to 64)
✔ Discounted admission: 12,000 KRW (children, teenagers, seniors)
✅ 3,000 KRW discount
✔ Goyang residents, public transport users, and families with multiple children (proof required)
The easiest way to get a discount is through public transport. If you visit using public transport like buses or subways, simply tag your transportation card at the venue's card reader to receive an instant 3,000 KRW discount!
This year, the group reservation discount criteria have been lowered from 20 people to just 10. So if your family of 10 visits together, you can enter for only 10,000 KRW per person!
However, group tickets are only available on weekdays, so if you can visit during the week, it’s a great option.
Top 5 Attractions at the Goyang International Flower Festival:
The festival takes place in a vast area of 250,000 square meters at Ilsan Lake Park. It’s important to check the festival guide and map to explore every corner!
One must-see attraction is the 'Garden of Time Travelers,' themed around journeys through the past, present, and future. It features a large clock sculpture inspired by 'Honcheonui' surrounded by beautiful flowers, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
Another highlight is the 'Light Garden,' which modernly reinterprets Korea's traditional 'Obangsaek' colors. The vibrant flowers are divided into sections, offering a visual feast.
The 'Pengsoo's Flower Garden' was the most popular spot, designed with a 'Spring Picnic' concept, allowing visitors to feel like they are on a picnic with the beloved character Pengsoo. It became a top photo spot for both kids and adults.
Indoor exhibition halls, such as the 'Floriculture Exchange Hall' and 'Floriculture Industry Hall,' are perfect for visiting when outdoor activities get too warm. You can see high-quality works from world-renowned floral artists and even purchase unique plants.
To truly enjoy the romance of the lake park, don't miss riding the 'Flower Bicycle.' With beautiful floral decorations, it’s a delightful way to glide over the water.
Tips for Visiting the 2026 Goyang International Flower Festival:
I visited on both weekdays and weekends, and the crowds are significantly larger on weekends. If possible, visiting on a weekday is much more relaxed.
Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, bring an umbrella, and sunglasses!
Enjoy the festival, which runs until May 10th, and create wonderful spring memories amidst the beautiful flowers and diverse gardens!
Thank you!
