At the Goyang Drone Anchor Center, you can enjoy comprehensive drone education, equipment, and facilities!
The center spans from the basement to the third floor and opened in August 2023, featuring the largest indoor flying area in the country, corporate facilities, and drone research and development centers.
Various educational and experiential programs are available for those new to drones, with drone-related companies and public institutions located within the center.
The third floor houses offices for resident companies, while training takes place in the indoor flying area on the first floor and the education room on the second floor.
In Goyang City, the Goyang Daedeok Drone Airfield and Goyang Drone Anchor Center will sequentially open, establishing a hub for the drone industry.
On September 7, a drone experience was held as part of the 'Goyang City Social Reporter Group Empowerment Training'. As I have always been interested in this field, I attended with great anticipation.
The Goyang Drone Anchor Center aims to cultivate professional talent through drone-related educational programs, foster a startup ecosystem in drone-related fields, and create jobs through the utilization of drones.
Drone events and cultural experiences are conducted for citizens, along with coding and drone education.
Operating hours are weekdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and evening sessions from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with prior reservations required.
Utilization fees are quite affordable, with discounts available for Goyang citizens.
As we begin our drone experience, we first simulate operations in the education room. The center is equipped with devices for practical training and three types of drones.
After completing the simulation on the monitor, we moved to the indoor flying area, which is the largest in the country at 1,800 square meters.
The spacious and high structure resembles an actual industrial site, allowing for diverse drone experiences.
After wearing safety helmets and vests, we flew drones, including those designed for drone soccer.
Initially, controlling the drone was challenging, but with practice, I began to master the basics.
As drones have become deeply integrated into our lives, their applications will only continue to grow.
The Goyang Drone Anchor Center, along with the Goyang Daedeok Drone Airfield, serves as a significant hub for the drone industry, providing facilities and educational opportunities for beginners.
