A heart as abundant as the full moon,

The Amtae Women's Volunteer Association

Sharing warmth this Chuseok

As Chuseok approaches,

We have heartwarming news of sharing with our neighbors.

On September 16,

The Amtae Women's Volunteer Association

Carried out a service activity titled

‘Sharing the Warmth of Chuseok Like a Full Moon’.

This service activity was organized to convey warm hearts to

the marginalized neighbors in the community during the Chuseok holiday,

and to spread a culture of caring for one another.

On this day, 12 members of the Amtae Women's Volunteer Association joined together.

The members personally visited 30 households, including elderly individuals living alone and elderly couples,

to deliver lovingly prepared songpyeon.

Not only did they deliver delicious songpyeon,

but they also took time to listen to the elders' stories,

checking in on their well-being and health.

Though brief,

these warm words and attention created

a precious time that alleviated the loneliness of the holiday.

The president of the Amtae Women's Volunteer Association, Ahn Yang-sook,

stated that as holidays approach, community attention and

care for marginalized neighbors become even more essential.

She expressed the commitment to continue monitoring the needs of those in difficulty in the community

and to engage in various service activities that share warmth.

Like this sharing, where we packed our sincerity and hearts into a plate of songpyeon,

we hope to have more opportunities to check in on each other

and share warm hearts this Chuseok.
