Gokyeonsa Temple is an ancient temple founded by the great monks Uisang and Wonhyo during the 7th year of King Munmu's reign in Silla.

Behind Gokyeonsa, there is a beautiful peak known as Uisangbong, where Uisang is said to have practiced meditation. From this vantage point, one can see Gayasan to the east, Deogyusan to the west, and Jirisan to the south.

The surrounding mountains, including Janggunbong, Byeollyusan, Bigyesan, Minyeobong, and Bakyusan, create an exceptional landscape.

Located on the way to the Y-shaped suspension bridge at the new landmark, Gochang Anti-Aging Healing Land, Gokyeonsa is worth a visit.

Today, I decided to take a light hike to Gokyeonsa with my son. Shall we go together?

First, we parked at a lot near the Gajo IC and took a shuttle bus to the entrance. Next to the parking lot, there is the Gajo weekend market where you can purchase local specialties.

Gochang is a wonderful place with plenty to see. Today, we chose to visit the Anti-Aging Healing Land and Gokyeonsa Temple.

Now, let's head up the Gokyeonsa path.

Can you see those rocks and the sky?

It's a bit dizzying, but we slowly make our way up.

As we soak in the tranquil temple scenery, I feel the devotion of the worshippers who have offered rice and snacks at Cheonsugak.

Leaving the temple, greeted by cosmos flowers, I feel as if the guardians at the door are watching over us.

The sun is gradually setting, and I feel lighter and clearer in my heart.

Today was a fulfilling day. Everyone, come visit beautiful Gochang!
