As the heat intensifies these days, if you're looking for a cool place to enjoy water play with your kids, I recommend the free water playground in Cheong-an-myeon.
Located within the Cheong-an Multi-Purpose Plaza, the children's water playground allows kids to splash around while parents can relax in the cool shade.
Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so you can enjoy water play and snacks at your preferred table. I took a moment to enjoy the refreshing breeze while exploring the nearby water playground.
You can prepare a perfect picnic, but the facility also has an ordering system, making it easy for you to visit lightly with your kids.
The Cheong-an Children's Water Playground is jointly hosted by the Geosan County and North Chungcheong Province, with the Cheong-an Merchants Association managing it, ensuring a safe environment for water fun.
Pets are allowed, so you can enjoy a relaxing walk, but please note that pets cannot participate in the water activities.
This event, organized as part of a project to support the revitalization of traditional markets and shopping streets, includes cultural performances alongside the water playground, making it a great experience for the whole family.
This year, the playground will operate temporarily from July 11 to August 2, so if you live near Cheong-an-myeon, be sure to mark your calendars to avoid waiting until next year.
The operating hours are daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, and it will be closed on Mondays and rainy days to help you avoid unnecessary trips. Notably, from July 28 to August 2, there will be extended evening hours until 8 PM, allowing visitors to enjoy water play in the cooler evening air.
Equally exciting are the cultural performances held every weekend. From July 11, 18, and 25, to August 1, various stages, including performances by the Cheong-an Band, will take place every Saturday from 5 PM to 8 PM.
