A Warm Cultural Space for Youth in Dangjin

The Dangjin Youth Cultural Center is a warm and enriching cultural space where teenagers can feel safe and comfortable.
Every time I visit Dangjin, I notice the many institutions that allow local youth to freely nurture their dreams and enjoy diverse cultural activities.
Today, I attended the "Daring Dangjin High Teen Super Stage" event, organized by the Dangjin Youth Cultural Center and the Dangjin 3-dong Residents' Committee, held at the Sumigwan of Hoseo High School.
The performances by youth dance clubs, bands, and cheerleaders filled the venue with excitement and laughter!
It was a special event where young people could express themselves and recharge their energy.
At the entrance of the event, there were ten different experience booths set up on both sides, offering unique programs that stimulate the senses, such as keychain making, tarot experiences, and worry doll crafting.
This event was not just about watching; it was meaningful as it allowed youth to actively engage and enjoy.
The Dangjin Youth Cultural Center, which supports the dreams of young people, regularly provides a dedicated space for relaxation and cultural activities, along with systematic support for self-governance.
The café had a variety of board games and plenty of tables. Like the Sudabucks in Dangjin, the first floor features a cafeteria and a game zone with pocket billiards, which was impressive!
For youth aged 9 to 24, bringing a tumbler allows one free drink!
There are also console games, a computer room, and classrooms (Jaramteo, Kkumteo), where after-school academies for middle school students are conducted.
The Jaramteo introduces various new books and helpful resources for teenagers, providing tables and desks to promote healthy cultural activities.
On the second floor, there are spaces for youth including a Rainbow Hall (auditorium), dance practice rooms, singing practice rooms, and a small book café.
This complex cultural space helps youth express their bright energy positively and pursue their dreams through various club activities and performances.
It is a place that actively supports youth in freely expressing diverse cultural forms and continuously revitalizing leisure culture through various programs.
The Dangjin Youth Cultural Center is open to youth aged 9 to 24 for free use.
Open hours: Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The cafeteria operates from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday to Saturday, and is closed on Mondays and holidays.
On Sundays, it is open from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Located at 142-26, Musudong 7-gil, Dangjin, it is a verified facility that has received the highest evaluation in youth training facility assessments.
Like the bright and friendly smile of the director, I hope the youth always bloom with cheerful smiles.
