With Black Day approaching, I found myself craving Jajangmyeon, so I visited a Chinese restaurant after a long time. They serve my favorite Jajang sauce, and the sweet and sour pork was fluffy and delicious. The thin noodles in the Jajang were easy to eat, and I was tempted to mix the sauce with rice, but I held back due to being full. For dessert, I debated between butter rice cakes and waffles or churros, but I managed to resist the urge.

I take good care of my meals, even when dining alone, and I don't burden anyone with meal worries—how considerate of me! I ordered grilled intestines with roe fried rice and made it a grand affair by warming it up on a burner, even for delivery. Although it was slow food, I often overeat and end up sleeping right after. It may not be the healthiest, but it's a delightful personal dinner time.

On my way to work, just three minutes before arriving and feeling quite grumpy, the scent of lilacs greeted me. It seems that my sensitivity and pessimism allow me to navigate life thanks to a bit of romance and excessive sentimentality. Regardless, I’m grateful for anything that keeps me grounded.

Walking with the kids for a walking event in April felt unusually hot. The descendants of snowmen are already wilting! Last year, I didn’t wear a hat during our forest experience and ended up with a lot of freckles, so this year, I bought a wide-brimmed hat as soon as spring arrived. I also switched to a better sunscreen. It was a good decision. While strolling, I spotted clusters of my favorite flowering trees, and when the kids carelessly touched the flowers, I stopped them. Yet, even a gentle brush caused beautiful petals to fall, making me appreciate the moment, transforming me into a character from Anne of Green Gables.

Craving stir-fried udon, I ordered crab meat kimbap. The salmon roll was also delicious, so I didn’t hesitate to get both main dishes. The udon came in a container that seemed only half full, but the portion was enormous, even a big eater would need a break! I find joy in picking up my food instead of paying for delivery, as it gives me an excuse to stroll around the neighborhood. Even if it's just for ten minutes, I love using it as an excuse to walk.

I went to a forest experience, but why was it so hot at 10 AM? I praised my decision to buy a summer windbreaker. It allows airflow while blocking UV rays. My skin is sensitive, and I’ve been dealing with bug bites for a week, so I need to take good care of my skin this summer. I try not to use ellipses, but they keep appearing. Is this a sign that I’m getting older? I love nature, and while it’s nice to be outside in the sunlight, this week has been overwhelming. Planting flowers, community events, two activities, mentoring, and outdoor activities fill my week, making each day feel endless. After a week that felt like a month, I roared home and crashed.

Despite the busy schedule, I had the joy of meeting my partner. We rarely see each other during the week due to our different work hours, but my partner took time off to visit his grandfather's grave, and we had dinner together. We initially planned to go for grilled intestines but ended up trying seafood instead. Although I enjoy sashimi, I’m not a big fan of seafood, so I was worried. However, the freshness was incredible, making everything delicious! Now I understand why this place is popular; the side dishes change daily.

Seafood is light, so we decided to have chicken for our second round. While waiting for the takeout, we enjoyed waffles. While I’m not surprised by my choices, my partner still has a youthful spirit, opting for a mountain of marshmallows. It's fascinating how he always orders chocolatey frappuccinos at cafes.

Using a gift card, I ordered from Soy Garlic King. I wondered if it would be similar to Kyochon Honey, but it was entirely different! I added crispy shrimp to meet the price requirement, but it was disappointing.

I visited a newly opened burger place that offered meat and shrimp. It had wasabi mayo sauce, which made it less greasy. I usually crave ramen after a burger, but this one was satisfying! I felt guilty eating alone since my partner loves burgers, so I ordered one for him as well. He said the bacon burger was delicious.

On the weekend, I went on an Euljiro tour! I found several places on Instagram that matched my taste, so I quickly researched and planned a route. It was my first time in the famous hip Euljiro, and I wondered why I hadn’t visited before. As soon as I got off at Euljiro 3-ga, I was amazed by the number of foreigners, reminiscent of my first visit to Itaewon. Our first stop was Hanju Diary, where I found good quality notebooks and diaries at affordable prices. As someone who loves to take notes, I was thrilled. They also sold pretty clips and postcards, which I browsed for a while.
