I visited the birthplace of the renowned figure from Hamann, Manwoo Jo Hong-je, a place well-known among the residents of Gunbuk-myeon. The trip was particularly meaningful as it brought back memories shared by my parents from their own travels.
Upon arrival, I found a dedicated parking area, alleviating any concerns about parking. As I walked from the parking lot to the house, I noticed a beautiful garden designed to showcase seasonal flowers and trees. The well-maintained paths made it a pleasant area to explore.
Starting my tour around the birthplace, I was struck by how tidy everything was; even the alleys were remarkably clean. It felt as if the past and present were intertwined, with the stone walls and alleys bridging time.
Peeking over the wall, I was greeted by the delicate lavender-colored hibiscus, which seemed to welcome us. It was impossible not to capture this charming sight.
