Today, I would like to introduce you to Ulsan Bookstore, located in the main building of Ulsan City Hall.
The interior features a comfortable wood-tone color scheme, cozy lounging areas, and plush benches, providing a perfect spot for citizens to take a break.
The space is designed to enhance openness and comfort, with high ceilings and a thoughtful arrangement of desks, making it easy to read.
If you are visiting City Hall or the nearby area and need a place to rest, Ulsan Bookstore is a great option.
On the day I visited, I had some free time before my scheduled appointment at City Hall.
While pondering where to spend my time, I discovered Ulsan Bookstore.
Ulsan Bookstore is located in the main building of Ulsan City Hall, accessible through the East Gate by the bus stop or the main entrance plaza.
It houses approximately 8,000 books, all neatly organized.
Individuals can borrow books by registering after presenting an ID upon visiting.
Operating hours: 9 AM - 6 PM
Closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
Borrowing limit: 5 books per person
Loan period: 14 days, with a possible 7-day extension.
The interior decor, featuring plants, is soothing to the eyes.
The harmony of wood tones and colorful cushions made this space my favorite.
It’s nice to sit down and read if you find a book you like while walking around.
There are desks available for reading, and you can either read while standing or sit down to enjoy your book.
Standard desks are also available, equipped with lamps and charging outlets for smartphones.
It’s a great place to recharge both your phone and your mind if you find your battery low during your schedule.
Even on a weekday afternoon, many people were reading.
Some were studying, leaving personal belongings on the desks.
With some time to spare, I picked a book to read.
If you live near City Hall, there are plenty of books available for reading and borrowing without needing to go far.
Right next to the entrance is a bean bag area, perfect for lying down and reading or resting.
There’s also an air purifier and soft indirect lighting, making it very comfortable.
Once you enter, it’s hard to leave!
Next to it, there’s a themed book corner, which at the time had a focus on AI.
There are also various publications available, so it’s worth stopping by.
In conclusion, I shared my experience visiting Ulsan Bookstore after my appointment at Ulsan City Hall.
