Discovering Daejin Beach: A Summer Paradise in Yeongdeok

As the sun becomes increasingly warm these days, we find ourselves searching for refreshing treats like iced americanos, ice cream, and fans.
This is also the season when our travels lead us to cooler destinations, naturally reminding us of beach trips!
When we think of the sea, we cannot overlook the beautiful East Sea.
Today, I would like to introduce Daejin Beach, one of the stunning beaches in Yeongdeok, Gyeongbuk.
As soon as you arrive, a photo zone catches your eye right at the entrance.
The photo zone, shaped like swimming goggles and decorated in bright red and yellow, perfectly matches the beach vibe.
The vibrant colors instantly lift your mood.
There is also a postcard-shaped photo zone filled with emotions.
You can capture photos with the sea as your backdrop and kick off your exciting beach adventure.
Can you see the number 1955 used in the sculpture?
Daejin Beach opened in 1955, boasting a long history in Yeongdeok.
With its crystal-clear waters and vast sandy shores, it is an ideal spot to leisurely enjoy a beach getaway.
Already, children are floating around on tubes in the shallow waters.
They dip their feet in the sea and run along the waves as they come and go.
They also enjoy playing in the sand.
Daejin Beach is a natural playground where children can have fun all day long.
There is even a jungle gym on the sandy beach, providing a unique play experience.
Adults also enjoy Daejin Beach in their own ways.
Walking barefoot on the soft sand while feeling the cool sea breeze is truly healing.
You might even find seashells on the beach.
It’s a time to relax and recharge while enjoying the view of the sea.
As you walk along the long stretch of sandy beach, a small rainbow bridge eventually comes into view.
As you approach the bridge, an unexpected landscape unfolds.
A stream flows across the sandy beach, creating a stunning sight where seawater meets the stream.
This long sandy beach extends all the way to Goraebul Beach.
Additionally, the path from Daejin Beach to Goraebul Beach is part of the Yeongdeok Blue Road C course, perfect for a scenic walk while gazing at the expansive East Sea.
If it gets too hot, you can opt for a drive instead.
Take a drive along the coastal road from Ganggu Port to Daejin Beach and soak in the sea views.
Whether it's swimming, hiking, or driving, Daejin Beach offers a variety of ways to enjoy the sea.
June is a wonderful time to embrace the cool sea breeze and stunning blue waters.
Why not head to Daejin Beach, a representative summer resort in Yeongdeok, Gyeongbuk?
