In Cheongdo, local residents and youth are cultivating the community together, creating various programs.

Since 2020, we have been utilizing underused facilities in rural areas and fostering social enterprises, continuing diverse projects centered around the Cheongdo region.

We are creating opportunities for young people to engage in the community, developing local content, and connecting people and spaces.

Initially, we did not have grand plans. We started by raising children together, farming, and selling produce we grew ourselves, gradually creating activities that could be done locally.

Later, we planned experiential programs utilizing village resources and participated in public projects, gradually expanding our activities.

At first, the bond among the members was the most important aspect. However, as we continued our various activities, we realized that for the community to sustain itself, it needed not only the ties among existing members but also the capacity to embrace new people and goals.

Since existing communities have established relationships and operational methods, changing these processes is not easy.

Therefore, instead of focusing on changing existing communities, we saw that gathering people around new goals and creating another community could be an effective alternative.

Moreover, meeting diverse people in the area and participating in various spaces and activities helps build relationships in individual ways, enriching the community.

This idea is reflected in the way we plan and operate various local programs in Cheongdo.

One of these initiatives is the 'Cheongdo Mompreneur' tailored entrepreneurship program.

'Mompreneur' refers to women who balance parenting and work while creating their own businesses or new jobs.

On the 14th, as part of the '2026 Cheongdo Mama-Cation Village Project,' the 'Cheongdo Mompreneur Tailored Entrepreneurship Program' was held.

This program goes beyond just providing participants with entrepreneurship-related information; it is a process of discovering entrepreneurial possibilities that can be realized in the community based on each individual's experiences and capabilities.

We also conducted a basic diagnosis to set future directions by sharing each person's experiences and current concerns.

Although there was a somewhat awkward atmosphere during the first meeting, we discovered that we were all facing similar challenges.

We also had the opportunity to confirm each other's potential by meeting participants with experiences and new ideas that we did not possess.

These encounters and exchanges can be a valuable opportunity for starting new endeavors in the community.

In the future, we will conduct in-depth assessments for individuals and specifically identify entrepreneurial items based on participants' experiences and capabilities.

This program is not just about supporting individual entrepreneurship; it is also a process of creating new local cases that can be realized in Cheongdo.

We look forward to seeing how participants' lives and experiences develop into ideas and what new activities will emerge in the Cheongdo region.

We cheer on the participants who have embarked on new challenges in Cheongdo.

We hope today's small meetings will lead to more possibilities and new changes in the community.
