On a special summer night in Seongnam-dong, Jung-gu, Ulsan, I attended the 2026 Eulsuya Market.
On Saturday, August 22, 2026, the area around the Ulsan Dongheon transformed into a lively festival scene, filled with delicious food, performances, and various experiences.
While normally a quiet street, the Saezmunae Street was bustling with excitement during the Eulsuya Market.
With cozy lighting illuminating the street, many citizens filled the area with laughter and energy, making the night feel exceptionally special.
Before diving into the Eulsuya Market, I couldn't miss the fun of collecting stamps for the Eulsuya Tour! As I explored the market and cultural street, I completed various missions to gather stamps and earn prizes.
There were six missions in total, and completing four of them allowed participants to receive gifts. It was a delightful experience for families, as children engaged in activities while adults enjoyed the market.
Numerous experience booths were set up, featuring activities like making Hanji crafts, dream dolls, sea shell resin art, LED fans, and jelly keychains. The children were eager to create their unique masterpieces.
While the kids focused on their crafting, adults leisurely explored the market. The market showcased a variety of unique items, making it enjoyable to browse.
The Eulsuya Market also featured a selection of local delicacies from Seongnam-dong. To fully enjoy the festival atmosphere, visitors could order food from nearby restaurants and savor it at the market.
Without needing to travel far for delicious food, it was convenient to grab takeout from nearby places, allowing everyone to enjoy the vibrant ambiance.
The Eulsuya Market also included traditional games for families, such as Yut Nori and Tuho, which brought back memories for adults while providing fun for children. Kids engrossed in the games were determined to win, despite the heat.
At 7:30 PM, the Dalbom Band performed a fusion of traditional Korean music, elevating the festive atmosphere. The performance was enjoyable for all ages, blending traditional elements with modern flair.
As we participated in activities and enjoyed delicious food, we gradually completed our Eulsuya Tour stamps. Those who completed four or more missions could join a prize draw, with practical gifts like tote bags and fans awaiting them.
If you missed this year's Eulsuya Market, there’s still a chance to catch it on November 28. It promises to be a wonderful opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of Ulsan's Cultural Street.
Join in for a time filled with sights, activities, and delicious food!
