My Journey to Osaka: Day 1

Hello!
After visiting Tokyo in 2024, I just returned from Osaka!
As I write this, I’m back home, and my memories might be a bit hazy, so I might miss some details.
Nevertheless, I will do my best to share what I loved about Osaka and what could have been better.
Departure date: February 2, 2026.
I woke up at 7:30 AM to catch my 1 PM flight.
When I opened my door, my dog, Bori, greeted me, still sleepy.
After quickly getting ready, I stepped outside.
Yes, my suitcase is mint green.
There was a lot of snow outside, and I worried about how to get to the train station.
However, those worries turned out to be unfounded.
Our house is on a steep hill, which made going down a huge challenge.
As soon as I took my first step, I slipped.
There was nothing I could do but slide down or fall.
But thanks to my experience working at Outback for two and a half years and a recent trip to a ski resort, I managed to slide down the slope like a pro.
Typically, people from Daejeon use Cheongju Airport to travel to Japan, but I went to Incheon Airport instead.
On the way, I enjoyed the serene atmosphere of the early morning and the snow-covered landscape.
I met my girlfriend at Daejeon Station, and we headed to Seoul together.
After grabbing some pastries from Seongsimdang, we enjoyed them on the train.
Upon arriving at Seoul Station, I stopped by Olive Young to buy some cosmetics, as I had run out.
Yes, I do wear makeup, just a bit for my skin and lips.
After purchasing a new foundation and lip balm, we took the airport railroad for about an hour.
This time, I flew with Air Busan, heading to Terminal 2.
Upon arriving at Incheon Airport, I checked in my luggage and quickly devoured the pastries I bought earlier.
I received my ticket and prepared for departure.
While walking, I passed by a photo spot but just glanced at it without stopping.
Arriving at the airport felt surreal, and I was overwhelmed with emotion.
I took a picture of my girlfriend, who looked beautiful.
Unfortunately, I couldn't sit by the window on the plane.
While filming the takeoff, I felt a little embarrassed as the man next to me kept glancing over.
On the plane, I noticed a fellow passenger studying a notebook related to stage performance, which impressed me.
When we landed at Kansai Airport, I was a bit startled by the new scenery.
My body led me straight to a Family Mart, where I bought a strawberry sandwich while my girlfriend opted for an egg sandwich and green tea.
The green tea in Japan is rich and delicious.
After a quick meal, we headed to Namba.
Instead of taking the expensive Rapit train, we chose a regular airport express for about 20,000 won.
Upon arriving at Namba Station, I was amazed by its size, reminiscent of Daejeon’s underground shopping area.
After some confusion, we finally found our accommodation and checked in around 8 PM.
After dropping off our bags, we decided to explore Dotonbori!
There were so many people, including a lot of Koreans, making it feel like Seoul.
I took some photos of the Glico Man sign and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere.
On our way back, I indulged in some delicious fried corn.
We had a great time, and I can't wait to share more about our adventures in Kyoto on Day 2!
That's it for Day 1; I'm exhausted.
