I recently visited the HEMEKO store in Hongdae, a beauty space known for showcasing new and artist brands that are hard to find elsewhere.
With a hip Hongdae atmosphere and a large number of foreign visitors, the store offers an exciting offline experience where you can freely test products.

HEMEKO Hongdae: A Beauty Playground Full of New Discoveries
Hello everyone. I’m a beauty enthusiast who recently stopped by the HEMEKO store in Hongdae.
HEMEKO has locations in Myeongdong and Hongdae, and I chose the Hongdae branch this time. The store is located in the same building as Daiso, so it was very easy to find.
As soon as I walked in, I felt the distinctly hip Hongdae vibe. What surprised me the most was the number of foreign visitors browsing the store alongside local customers.
A Space Where Beauty Lovers Lose Track of Time
While walking around, I was amazed by the variety of new and artist brands that are not commonly found in places like Olive Young.
If you love beauty products, this is the kind of store where time disappears quickly. There were many women shopping, and the mix of international customers made the atmosphere feel lively and global.
I spotted brands such as Chosun Beauty, H.A.O.Y.U, A.N.A.I.Z, and Glow. Although I expected mostly color cosmetics, I was happy to find skincare products and fragrances as well.
Hands-On Testing That Exceeds Expectations
Many of these brands were ones I had only seen online before, so being able to see them all in one place was exciting.
The store exceeded my expectations with its generous number of testers. There were clearly organized testing areas for tints, blurs, palettes, and skincare products.
I could freely try everything, which made it much easier to decide what suited me best.
Focusing on Lip Products and Personal Color
That day, I focused mainly on lip products. I compared different textures and shades to find colors that matched me well.
I was especially satisfied with the range, from trendy lip shades to natural colors perfect for daily makeup.
Products I Picked Up at HEMEKO
Here are a few items I ended up purchasing during my visit.
The HAUA Hyaluronic PRD Pearl Serum was a brand-new discovery for me. Just a few drops made my skin feel deeply hydrated, which left a strong impression.
I also picked up the AOU Cream Blusher in 04 Mauve Ball. It gave my bare skin a lively glow and worked perfectly as a fresh makeup point.
The H.A.O.Y.U Blurring Tint in Rosely became my rose-point lip product after trying it in-store. Testing it beforehand made the choice easy.
Lastly, I highly recommend the A.N.A.I.Z Hard Fixer. You can clearly feel the difference when you use it.
If you are in Hongdae and love beauty products, HEMEKO is a place you should not miss. Being able to test new and artist brands in person makes the visit truly worthwhile.
