Exploring Jeju's Black Pig Restaurant: Saekyung

Located near Sanbangsan and Yongmeori Coast, I discovered a cozy meat restaurant in Jeju called Saekyung Black Pig. I spent my day enjoying nature and visited this restaurant for dinner, making my day truly fulfilling.
The atmosphere and the taste of Jeju black pig exceeded my expectations, and I encourage everyone to stop by. Here’s a detailed review of this unique restaurant where you can enjoy juicy, melt-in-your-mouth meat, a romantic ambiance, and even a chance to feed animals.
1. Basic Information about Saekyung Black Pig
Getting to Saekyung Black Pig was quite easy. I entered the restaurant's name into the navigation, and it guided me directly to the parking lot without any hassle. The parking area was spacious, making it convenient to park.
After parking, it was just a minute's walk to the restaurant. I was surprised by the size of the place! It featured a large palm garden amidst tangerine fields, and the landscaping was beautifully done, giving it a tourist attraction vibe.
✔ Location: 201 Saekyung-ro, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju
✔ Parking: Private parking available
✔ Operating Hours: Daily from 12 PM to 10 PM
✔ Convenience: Pet-friendly and suitable for families
2. Restaurant Interior
Upon entering the restaurant, I found it spacious and comfortable for dining. Saekyung Black Pig also offers outdoor seating, where you can enjoy the local black pig while dipping your feet in water, reminiscent of a valley restaurant experience.
Dining indoors is also an option, so you can choose your preferred seating. Unfortunately, I had to sit inside due to my son’s scraped skin from the previous day, but the atmosphere was still enjoyable, and I found amusement in observing people.
3. Ordering and Side Dishes
The menu featured only Jeju black pig meat, along with various side dishes such as kimchi stew, steamed eggs, and noodles. We ordered 540g of pork for two (68,000 KRW), along with kimchi stew, steamed eggs, and noodles, which was more than enough for two adults and one child.
The side dishes complemented the meat perfectly, including spicy-sweet scallions, fresh kimchi, and flavorful sauces.
4. Honest Taste Evaluation of Seogwipo Black Pig
The pork was served pre-grilled, allowing us to enjoy it quickly. The different cuts offered unique textures, and the rich flavor of the charcoal grilling made it exceptional. The meat was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth.
5. Deep and Rich Stew & Chewy Abalone Noodles
Along with the meat, we ordered black pig kimchi stew and abalone noodles, which were delightful even when full. The kimchi stew, simmered with whole pieces of kimchi, was perfect over rice.
The noodles, featuring abalone, had a refreshing broth and were cooked to perfection.
Overall, it was a perfect dinner experience, combining great atmosphere and delicious food. If you want to savor authentic Jeju black pig, remember to visit Saekyung!
