After craving pizza for a while, I finally visited Dough Stand, a well-known pizza spot in Samdeok-dong, Daegu.
With its foreign-inspired decor, photo-friendly interior, and generous toppings, this place quickly proved why it’s so popular.
From New York–style pizza baked in a deck oven to rich pasta that exceeded expectations, the meal was satisfying from start to finish.
A Popular Pizza Spot in Samdeok-dong
Today, I visited Dough Stand, a pizza place I had been hearing about for a while.
Good pizza spots can be surprisingly hard to find, so my expectations were already high.
Hearing that this place combined beautiful decor with great food convinced me to finally check it out.
Easy Access Near Kyungdae Hospital Station
Dough Stand is extremely easy to reach.
From exit 4 of Kyungdae Hospital Station, you simply head up and you’ll spot it almost immediately.
We took the subway, and the short walk made the visit even more appealing.
Foreign-Inspired Exterior and Photo-Friendly Interior
The exterior already had a charming overseas vibe, but the interior was even more impressive.
Colorful decor, posters, and thoughtful styling made every corner photo-worthy.
I visited in the afternoon, and the sunlight pouring in made the space look especially beautiful.
Comfortable Details That Make a Difference
We arrived at a slightly quiet time, so there weren’t many customers.
This made it easier to enjoy the space and take photos without feeling rushed.
Water, napkins, wet wipes, and even coat hangers were neatly prepared, which felt very considerate.
Each table had wrapped plates, forks, and knives, keeping everything clean and organized.
A Menu Full of Tempting Choices
The menu was placed on each table, and choosing wasn’t easy.
They offer a wide range of pizzas, including cheese, pepperoni, pulled pork, potato, sweet potato, and half-and-half options.
Being able to choose two flavors in one pizza is especially convenient when dining with others.
What We Ordered This Time
After plenty of discussion, we ordered the Corn Shrimp Pizza for 22,000 won.
We also added Mushroom Tuwumba Pasta for 14,000 won and a Zero Cola for 2,000 won.
The cola arrived first with an ice cup, along with garlic dipping sauce and pickles.
The garlic dipping sauce was unexpectedly delicious and addictive.
Corn Shrimp Pizza Packed with Toppings
When the pizza arrived, it looked stunning.
The Corn Shrimp Pizza was generously topped with whole corn kernels and shrimp.
Each slice was loaded, leaving no empty space.
Fresh out of the oven, the cheese stretched beautifully and stayed warm.
Rich Pasta That Steals the Spotlight
The Mushroom Tuwumba Pasta was even better than expected.
It was packed with mushrooms, and the creamy sauce paired perfectly with the pizza.
Honestly, it tasted better than many tuwumba pastas I’ve had elsewhere.
If you visit, this pasta is something I strongly recommend ordering.
Why the Pizza Crust Stands Out
The owner previously made pizzas in Itaewon before opening Dough Stand.
This background shows in the quality and balance of the pizza.
They use a deck oven instead of a standard pizza oven, which results in a more flavorful crust.
The base was crisp yet chewy, supporting the heavy toppings perfectly.
Final Thoughts on Dough Stand
Sharing one pizza and one pasta between two people was more than filling.
With generous toppings, stylish decor, and thoughtful details, the experience felt complete.
If you’re looking for New York–style pizza in Daegu, Dough Stand in Samdeok-dong is a place I’d happily recommend.
