Best Value Hot Pot Restaurant: Daehong Shabu Shabu
서울특별시 송파구 백제고분로9길 33
대홍훠궈샤브샤브 잠실새내점

When the weather turns cold and a warm, comforting broth sounds irresistible, Daehong Shabu Shabu delivers exactly what you’re craving.
With a wide selection of broths, unlimited fresh ingredients, and meat sliced to order, the experience feels generous from start to finish.
Excellent value, easy access near Jamsilsaenae Station, and satisfying portions make this hot pot spot one worth revisiting.
An Easy Stop Near Jamsilsaenae Station
Daehong Shabu Shabu is located at 33 Baekjegobun-ro 9-gil, 2nd floor, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
It’s only about a five-minute walk from exit 4 of Jamsilsaenae Station, making it convenient even on colder days.
The exterior feels familiar for a hot pot restaurant, but once inside, the spacious layout immediately stands out.
Spacious Interior Perfect for Groups
The dining area has plenty of tables, making it ideal for group meals.
Even during busy hours, the space allows you to enjoy your meal without feeling rushed or cramped.
This setup also helps reduce waiting time, which is always a bonus.
Broth Choices That Set the Tone
The price is 18,800 KRW per person, and you can choose from a wide range of broths.
Options include white broth, red broth, tomato broth, mala broth, mushroom broth, and tom yum goong broth.
I chose the white and red broths, deciding to skip the mala this time to fully enjoy a classic hot pot experience.
Unlimited Ingredients That Feel Like a Feast
What truly impressed me was the variety of fresh ingredients available.
From vegetables, mushrooms, bok choy, and bean sprouts to tofu, meatballs, rice cakes, and glass noodles, the selection felt endless.
Everything is unlimited, which makes the experience even more satisfying.
Mixing the Perfect Dipping Sauce
The sauce station lets you customize flavors exactly to your taste.
My mix included peanut and sesame sauce, peanut powder, minced garlic, oyster sauce, and cilantro.
Just a small warning, it’s easy to add too much oyster sauce, but if you love cilantro, this combination is fantastic.
Fresh Meat Sliced to Order
After loading up on vegetables, our meat arrived right on time.
We ordered beef, and what surprised me most was that it’s sliced fresh when you order, never frozen.
The freshness was immediately noticeable in both texture and flavor.
Trying Different Meats Without Limits
You can request refills and even switch meat types with each order.
After finishing the beef quickly, we decided to try lamb next.
The beef was tender and clean-tasting, while the lamb had a slight gamey note that I personally enjoyed.
Refillable Broth and Endless Enjoyment
If the broth level drops, you can easily refill it at the station.
This makes it easy to keep cooking without interruption.
We were three people and somehow managed to eat six plates of meat.
Outstanding Value for the Price
With just one drink added, our total came in under 60,000 KRW.
That worked out to around 20,000 KRW per person for an incredibly filling meal.
Considering the quality, freshness, and unlimited options, the value feels exceptional.
A Hot Pot Place Worth Returning To
Even after eating to the point of being completely full, the experience felt balanced and enjoyable.
With fresh ingredients, freshly sliced meat, and fair pricing, it’s easy to see why this place stands out.
Daehong Shabu Shabu is definitely a spot I’d happily return to on another cold day.
