Wanju's Best Walking Spots: Two Scenic Trails to Explore

The sweltering summer has passed, and autumn is quickly approaching with a refreshing breeze.
It's perfect weather for a stroll, with gentle breezes and warm sunlight creating a delightful atmosphere.
Let me introduce you to two walking trails in Wanju where you can fully enjoy the autumn sunshine.
Ungok Waterfront Park
Located in front of the Wanju County Office, Ungok Waterfront Park features well-maintained walking paths.
Surrounded by the Moamirae Apartment complexes (1st, 2nd, and 3rd), Wanju County Office, nearby public institutions, and commercial facilities, the park harmoniously blends nature with urban life.
Walking along the stream that flows through Ungok Waterfront Park, you can easily spot fish and birds, making it a nature-friendly trail and a great natural learning space for children.
Inside the park, there is a performance stage and a water play area called 'Ungok Waterfront Park Fountain,' providing a refreshing escape from the summer heat.
It seems to be a popular and safe water play facility for children, right in front of their homes.
There are also beautifully designed pavilions for resting and various exercise facilities for promoting health.
The walking paths are lined with wildflowers that signal the arrival of autumn, allowing you to fully embrace the season. Many people enjoy running or taking leisurely walks along these paths.
Mangari Red Clay Barefoot Walking Path
Located behind the Wanju County Office at 94-2, Ungok-ri, Yongjin-eup, Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do Special Autonomous Province, this red clay path offers a healthy barefoot walking experience.
To find the Mangari Red Clay Barefoot Walking Path, search for 882-1, Ungok-ri, Yongjin-eup, Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do Special Autonomous Province (Wanju Soccer Field) in your navigation system and park near the soccer field.
I visited during sunset, and the lush forest provided a cool breeze, making it perfect for walking.
Many people were strolling barefoot along the path, chatting, and listening to the birdsong, which was incredibly relaxing. After your barefoot walk, you'll want to wash your feet! There are two foot-washing stations available.
One is located near the Wanju County Office, and the other is next to the soccer field, making it convenient for everyone to clean their feet.
Walking is the safest form of aerobic exercise, known to improve cardiovascular health and maintain muscle mass.
How about taking a walk in light clothing after work today?
