Sin Tak-ri originally belonged to the Obakjo-myeon area of Jeonju-gun. In 1914, through an administrative reorganization policy, parts of Sin Tak-ri, Sang Tak-ri, Jung Tak-ri, Bonghwang-ri, Sang Sin-ri, Banseok-ri, Songjeong-ri, Yuri, Sasang-ri, and Jangpo-ri were merged to form what is now known as Sin Tak-ri, named after the leading village of the area.
In 1956, the village was restructured from Sin Tak-ri in Samnye-myeon to Sin Tak-ri in Samnye-eup.
Throughout the village, vibrant yellow forsythias are in full bloom, and cherry blossoms are bursting into bloom, beautifully adorning the area and signaling the arrival of spring.
The sweet and tangy strawberries, a specialty of Samnye, fill the greenhouses with their delightful fragrance, while busy bees buzz around, adding to the charm of the scene.
Along the Mangyeonggang Road, the newly established riding course welcomes the warm spring, making it easy to spot people enjoying their rides. The cherry blossom tunnel along the river blooms so brightly that it could serve as the subject of a picturesque painting, showcasing the beauty of spring.
