Shinan County Supports Young Farmers in Smart Agriculture

Hello from Shinan County!
Young farmer Lee Ji-hoon, representing Easy Farm,
is collaborating with Namdo Agricultural Products
to develop wellness products using agricultural products from Shinan.
On the 22nd, both organizations signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU)
to pave the way for mutual cooperation.
With smart farm produce now extending to processing, branding, and distribution,
Easy Farm has been selected for the 2024 support project
to build a self-reliant foundation for young farmers in Shinan.
They are cultivating European leafy vegetables
using a recirculating spray hydroponics method.
This agreement aims not only to sell agricultural products produced in smart farms
but also to enhance the added value of agricultural products
through processing, branding, and distribution.
Easy Farm plans to develop wellness products under the brand 'Easy Care'
focused on gut health and relaxation routines.
Namdo Agricultural Products will assist in product manufacturing,
quality control, distribution, and export strategy formulation
to help Shinan agricultural products enter a broader market.
Easy Farm aims to expand the utilization of agricultural products
produced by local young farmers and newcomers
through contract cultivation and priority purchasing.
This initiative is expected to positively impact the income of local farmers
and strengthen the competitiveness of Shinan agriculture.
Shinan County is committed to supporting the growth of young farmers
and ensuring that the foundation of smart agriculture leads to
real results in production stability and market expansion.
We will continue to implement various policies and support
to enhance the added value of local agricultural products
and enable young farmers to lead the future of local agriculture.
We appreciate your interest and support for the challenges faced by young farmers
who are creating new possibilities in Shinan agriculture.
