Mobile Oral Health Care Service for Seniors

Welcome to our mobile oral health management service!
As we age, oral health significantly impacts not only nutrition and eating but also overall health.
However, for seniors with mobility issues, visiting a dental clinic can be a daunting task.
Shinan County is launching a mobile oral health management service to ensure our seniors can maintain healthy smiles.
From July to October, we will implement the '2026 Senior Home Visit Oral Health Management Project' targeting seniors with mobility challenges.
This initiative aims to provide personalized oral care services by directly visiting seniors over 65 who have difficulty accessing medical facilities.
This year, we will operate the program for 30 seniors at two senior centers in Aphae-eup.
Our project involves dental public health professionals and nurses who will utilize a mobile dental clinic to deliver preventive oral health services and check-ups.
In collaboration with local universities, we will also offer proper oral care education and oral exercise programs to empower seniors to manage their own oral health.
Seniors participating in the program will undergo a preliminary oral health assessment to categorize them into regular and general management groups.
Those in the regular management group will receive ongoing support through regular visits and phone monitoring.
Meanwhile, the general management group will benefit from tailored services focused on preventing oral diseases.
Through systematic management tailored to individual health conditions, we aim to robustly support seniors in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
A representative from the Shinan County Health Center expressed hope that this initiative will provide practical assistance to seniors struggling with dental care due to mobility issues.
They also emphasized their commitment to continuously promote mobile oral health management services, ensuring that seniors can enjoy a healthy and happy retirement.
Shinan County plans to expand mobile health services to ensure that seniors with limited access to medical care receive the necessary health management.
For the healthy smiles and happy retirements of our seniors, Shinan County will always stand by our residents.
