Hello! 😊

Last Saturday evening, I visited the Friday Night Market held at Geochang Traditional Market's Youth Mall.

Originally, the Friday Night Market is held on the last Friday of each month, but this time it was rescheduled to August 1st due to the opening of the Geochang International Theater Festival.

Upon hearing about the event, I decided to visit the Youth Mall for the first time.

There were plenty of food options, performances, and even a raffle, making my time there truly enjoyable.

Basic Information

πŸ“ Location - 140 Jungang-ro, Geochang-eup, Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do (Geochang Traditional Market Youth Mall)

⏲ Date - August 1 (Saturday), 6 PM to 8 PM

πŸ…ΏοΈ Parking - Available at Geochang Traditional Market Public Parking Lot

After parking at the Geochang Traditional Market Public Parking Lot, I noticed the sign for the Friday Night Market!

With great anticipation, I hurried over.

The Geochang Traditional Market map was well placed, making it easy for first-time visitors to find their way.

There are several entrances to the Geochang Traditional Market!

Right in front of the parking lot is the South Gate 2, while the opposite side features the North Gate 2!

Upon entering, a cute monkey mascot greeted me, making it a perfect photo opportunity.

As I entered through the North Gate 2, the Youth Mall was immediately on my left!

Following the entrance path led me directly to the Youth Mall!

The route was easy to navigate, ensuring that newcomers could find it without difficulty.

As soon as I entered the Youth Mall, the staff warmly welcomed me and handed out raffle tickets.

Their friendly guidance set a positive tone from the start!

Inside, I noticed that many shops were closed for the Friday Night Market event.

The relaxed atmosphere attracted many families and groups of friends.

After a short wait, they served us tteokbokki, spicy chicken feet, and beer.

Basic snacks and water were also provided, allowing us to enjoy the performances comfortably.

The tteokbokki was sweet and spicy, and the spicy chicken feet were chewy and delicious.

Enjoying the food along with the performances made it even better!

Soon after, the MC began the event, officially kicking things off.

There were a variety of souvenirs available through the raffle, and the quantity was surprisingly ample, allowing most participants to win something.

The first performance featured students from a nearby university, singing familiar songs like 'Red Sunset' and 'Love's Battery,' which quickly lifted the atmosphere.

It was delightful to see the audience clapping and enjoying the show.

Conclusion

Unfortunately, I had another commitment and couldn't stay for the entire performance.

Although my time was short, it was filled with food, performances, and events, creating a joyful and relaxed atmosphere.

If another event is held at the Geochang Traditional Market Youth Mall, I would love to return and enjoy it fully.

I highly recommend visiting the Geochang Traditional Market's Friday Night Market!
