Children's Dream Playground Event in Geochang

Hello!
I recently attended the 2026 Geochang Children's Dream Playground event
held at the beautiful Susungdae during the Geochang International Theater Festival.
Hosted by the Geochang YMCA and sponsored by Geochang County,
the event took place on August 1st from 2 PM to 6 PM.
This pop-up playground featured a variety of activities
designed for children to enjoy and have fun.
The event aimed to ensure children's right to play and promote a healthy play culture.
With numerous programs available, families flocked to the event,
where kids could run around freely.
Activities included water gun battles, magic shows,
cotton candy performances, and crafting experiences.
The first place my child ran to was the giant Jenga in the challenge zone.
This oversized Jenga was so much larger than the one at home,
and we had a blast playing with it.
Next to it was a giant cup stacking game,
which was equally enjoyable. Stacking colorful cups
to create tall towers was a delightful sight.
There were also games involving throwing balls into small holes
and balancing balls on strings, which kept the kids engaged.
The children's pool was the most popular spot on such a hot day,
with many young kids enjoying the water.
Thanks to the staff who encouraged the children to play,
they had a fantastic time despite the heat.
In the water gun zone, kids could shoot water guns to their heart's content.
The crafting zone offered various experiences,
including making animal paper crafts, decorating fans, and creating keychains.
The keychain-making station featured many popular characters
that children loved. They received materials to create their crafts
and could sit at designated spots to focus on their projects.
They also received fun gifts like erasers and mini bubbles.
Additionally, the event included a child abuse prevention campaign
by the Gyeongnam Western Child Protection Agency,
which raised awareness about children's safety and rights.
The performance zone featured magic shows and cotton candy performances
that the children thoroughly enjoyed.
The sight of giant cotton candy being made captivated everyone.
The magic show was interactive, allowing audience participation,
which made it even more entertaining.
Unfortunately, the Children's Dream Playground was a one-day event,
and it was a shame to have such a well-prepared experience
only for a single day.
The pop-up playground, organized alongside the international theater festival,
offered a variety of crafting experiences, refreshing water play,
magic shows, and cotton candy performances,
making it a truly enjoyable event.
I hope the Geochang Children's Dream Playground will be held more often!
