Must-Visit Places in Goesan County
The most memorable moment during my summer trip to Goesan was undoubtedly the Natural Harmony Music Fountain.
The operating hours vary by season, so it's essential to check before visiting. From April to August, performances are held twice daily at 11:40 AM and 8:30 PM, each lasting 20 minutes. From September to the end of October, evening shows start at 7:30 PM for visitor convenience.
The music fountain, located at the base of Goesan Bridge, features water jets that soar up to 30 meters high, accompanied by LED lights and water screen visuals, creating a magnificent spectacle that captures attention from afar.
During my visit, the weather was quite hot, and simply sitting in front of the fountain made me forget the summer heat. Every time the water jets shot up, a refreshing mist enveloped me, providing a delightful natural cooling effect.
What makes this place truly special is the music. A total of 28 songs, including classical pieces and popular hits, harmonize with the water display. Recently, 13 new songs from various genres, including K-pop, trot, OSTs, and children's songs, have been added, showcasing a delightful variety.
During the performance, children clapped along to familiar tunes, while parents swayed to the trot melodies, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.
Each song ending brought anticipation for the next, making it feel like an outdoor concert experience.
When popular songs played, memories flooded back, and I found myself lost in thought, enjoying the moment as I gazed at the fountain.
With a wide selection of songs, from familiar classics to new tunes, people of all ages can enjoy the grandeur of the music fountain together.
If you're visiting for the first time, I recommend sitting slightly off to the side instead of directly in front of the fountain. This angle offers a better view of the symmetrical water patterns and the changing colors of the lights above.
The floor fountain in Goesan's nightscape creates a stunning visual effect as the water splits and changes patterns, providing a refreshing escape from the summer heat.
I personally highly recommend the evening shows. After sunset, the lights added to the water create a completely different, much more vibrant and dreamlike atmosphere.
Arriving 10-15 minutes before the performance is advisable to secure a good spot.
