Exploring Cheonan City Tour: A Memorable Day

Last Sunday, I had a delightful trip using the Cheonan City Tour. After my visit to Cheonan last year, I thought, "Next time, I want to explore more places I haven't been to." This city tour allowed me to realize that wish.
On March 13, I attempted to make a reservation. Contrary to my expectations that it would be easy, I was surprised to find that most slots were already sold out. Especially for the weekend, most schedules were fully booked. I saw that there was only one spot left for April, and without hesitation, I applied for it.
Curiosity led me to finally visit on April 18.
After arriving at Cheonan Station via train from Daejeon, I began my tour by taking the city tour bus. I made an on-site payment at the 'Cheonan City Tourist Information Center' located in the underground shopping area of Exit 1 at Cheonan Station.
The bus arrived around 10:05 AM, and it departed at 10:10 AM, so it was good to arrive early for boarding.
Once on the bus, I received a pink sticker for the "Cheonan City Tour" to wear on my clothing. After a briefing on safety rules and guidelines, the city tour officially began.
The Sunday City Tour course, aptly named 'A Fun Day,' was filled with food and experiences. We visited various places, including the famous bakery 'Tujur,' Aunae Marketplace, Hong Daeyong Science Museum, and the Chungnam Safety Experience Center.
At Tujur, a renowned bakery in Cheonan, I was especially excited. The guide mentioned that it used to be the last stop on the tour, but due to long lines in the afternoon, they adjusted the itinerary to visit it first. It was recommended to purchase bread immediately upon arrival to avoid missing out due to long waits.
At Aunae Marketplace, known for its delicious Byeongcheon Sundae, I enjoyed a warm bowl of sundae soup. The experience was both satisfying and fulfilling.
At the Hong Daeyong Science Museum, I learned about the life and thoughts of the late Joseon scholar Hong Daeyong. The museum featured interactive exhibits, including a centrifugal bicycle and AI games, making it an engaging experience.
Finally, we visited the Chungnam Safety Experience Center, where I participated in hands-on activities that taught emergency response skills. It was an eye-opening experience, highlighting the importance of safety measures in real-life scenarios.
This Cheonan City Tour was a great value for the price, allowing us to visit attractions that are hard to reach by public transportation. It was a well-rounded day filled with sightseeing, eating, and learning, making it highly recommendable for families and first-time visitors to Cheonan.
