I recently visited Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond after hearing that the summer flower, the lotus, is in full bloom!
Although Gyeongju is known for its night views, the area around the entrance is filled with blooming lotuses, making it a great spot to enjoy during the day.
The vibrant lotuses combined with the tranquil scenery of Silla create a beautiful summer landscape.
On sunny days, walking along the lotus-lined paths is delightful, making it a perfect family trip destination.
The wide-spread lotus leaves and soft pink flowers blend beautifully with the blue sky, allowing for stunning summer photos from any angle.
If you're lucky, you might even encounter a cute family of ducks, which are so adorable that you could lose track of time watching them.
Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond are charming both day and night. During the day, you can enjoy the fresh lotuses and green scenery, while at night, the reflections in the pond are breathtaking.
