Delivering stronger healthcare services across the islands

With the support of senior doctors

Shinan County is committed to the health of its residents

In Shinan, where there are many islands and a wide living area,

receiving medical care close to home is especially valuable for residents.

To address the medical gap caused by the decrease in public health doctors,

Shinan County has hired senior doctors.

Experienced physicians will visit the residents.

A total of six specialists applied for the senior doctor position,

and after thorough document reviews and interviews,

the final candidate was selected based on their extensive clinical experience and capabilities in island healthcare.

The selected doctor will start on October 1 and will visit health centers and clinics in Shinan for a year,

providing various essential healthcare services, including general consultations,

preventive vaccination assessments, and diagnostic certifications.

In October, the focus will be on vaccinations.

As the demand for vaccinations increases seasonally,

we will ensure that residents can receive care conveniently.

Starting in November, regular visits will be initiated at health facilities without medical public health doctors.

By bringing medical services directly to where they are needed,

we hope to provide stronger support to island residents who have faced difficulties accessing healthcare.

Shinan County will also integrate telemedicine systems

to enhance healthcare accessibility for island residents.

Our goal is to ensure that residents can receive necessary medical services without traveling far,

allowing us to monitor their health more closely.

Shinan County will continue to work towards reducing healthcare inconveniences

that may arise due to the unique characteristics of island living,

creating a reliable healthcare environment where every resident can feel secure about their health.
