As the breeze turns cool,
I find myself wanting to step into nature.
Instead of rushing between tourist spots,
a leisurely walk along the forest trails sounds delightful.
In Inje, where mountains and forests blend,
there lies a place where white tree trunks stand densely,
creating an exotic landscape.
This is the Wondaeri Birch Forest.
From the sunlight filtering through the green leaves
to the autumn scenery painted in yellow,
the forest offers different charms in every season.
With the cool breeze blowing,
it’s the perfect season for a slow walk along the forest path.
Today, I introduce you to the Wondaeri Birch Forest,
where white trees create an exotic view.
In the Wondaeri Birch Forest,
the first thing that catches the eye is
the unique white bark of the birch trees.
Unlike the dark brown trunks one might expect,
the bright-colored trunks stretch high,
making the entire forest feel radiant.
Upon closer inspection,
you can see the horizontal patterns on the white bark
and the thinly layered surface.
From a distance,
the straight trees stand in layers,
creating a deep view into the forest.
Take time to admire the unique charm of the birch forest,
from the green leaves to the yellow hues of autumn.
The leaves that unfold above the white trunks
change the forest's atmosphere with the seasons.
In the lush green season,
the vibrant green and white trunks create a refreshing scene.
As sunlight streams through the trees,
looking up at the beauty of the forest above
is a truly enchanting experience.
As autumn deepens, the leaves turn yellow,
adding warm colors between the white trunks.
In winter, the absence of leaves reveals
the distinct shapes of the trunks and branches.
Even in the same birch forest,
different scenes await depending on the season of your visit.
In the Wondaeri Birch Forest,
take a moment to focus on the sounds around you.
The rustling leaves in the wind,
the footsteps on the dirt path,
and the birds singing among the trees.
If you pause for a moment,
you'll begin to hear the sounds you passed by.
While capturing the scenery in photos is nice,
take some time to simply observe the forest.
As the sunlight dances between the white trunks
and the leaves sway in the breeze,
your steps will naturally slow down.
Before your visit,
comfortable shoes are essential.
It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to walk from the parking area to the birch forest.
Wear shoes suitable for mountain trails.
Consider allowing 3 to 4 hours for your entire visit,
including round trip and viewing time.
Check the entry closing time; from May to October,
entry is allowed from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Make sure to arrive on time.
The forest is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays,
but open on public holidays.
In case of weather conditions or fire prevention,
entry may be restricted.
Bring water and a light jacket for your walk.
As you admire the straight white trees
and look up at the swaying leaves,
enjoy your leisurely walk.
In the Wondaeri Birch Forest,
you can experience the joy of walking into the heart of the forest.
On your trip to Inje,
enjoy a relaxing forest adventure along the paths between the white trees.
There are still many beautiful landscapes to discover in Gangwon.
Look forward to your next travel destination!
