During my trip to Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do, I wanted to see the ocean views and explore some unique places, so I visited Janggo Port.

There are several spots in Dangjin where you can enjoy the sea, but Janggo Port offers a beautiful harbor landscape along with a lighthouse and natural sea caves, making it a great place to stroll around.

The places I visited at Janggo Port were the Janggo Lighthouse and Yongcheongul Cave.

Janggo Port is located in Seokmun-myeon, Dangjin City, and serves as a fishing ground while also attracting many travelers looking to enjoy the ocean scenery.

Upon arriving at Janggo Port, the expansive sea caught my eye, and I noticed the lighthouse positioned along the breakwater.

Walking along the shore while gazing at the sea felt refreshing, easing my worries.

This is the charm of a seaside trip.

On sunny days, the blue sea, sky, and lighthouse come together beautifully, making it perfect for photos.

The lighthouse at Janggo Port is also a must-see attraction.

Looking at the lighthouse at the edge of the sea enhances the feeling of being on a proper vacation.

Strolling along the breakwater is lovely for appreciating the coastal scenery, and it's a great spot to pause for photos.

Janggo Port is known for its stunning sunrises and sunsets, so if you time it right, you can experience breathtaking ocean views alongside the lighthouse.

The Yongcheongul Cave was the most intriguing place for me at Janggo Port.

This natural sea cave was formed in the rocks along the coast of Janggo Port over time as waves and winds sculpted the stone.

When I got closer, the cave's unique structure was more impressive than I had imagined.

Inside the cave, there's a large opening through which the sky is visible, and the light streaming in was quite fascinating.

It's not a man-made tourist site but rather a natural wonder that has formed over time, making it feel even more special.

There are interesting legends associated with Yongcheongul Cave, including one about a dragon ascending to the sky through the hole above the cave, which is how it got its name.

Another tale tells of a boy who studied here for a long time and passed the state examination in the past.

Knowing these stories made visiting the cave feel more special than just seeing a typical seaside cave.

Traveling becomes more meaningful when you understand the stories tied to a place.

If you plan to visit Yongcheongul Cave, it’s important to check the tide schedule.

Since it’s located along the coast, access can be difficult during high tide, so it's wise to check the low tide times before you go.

There’s a deck path, so when the tide is high, it feels like walking over the sea, and when it recedes, you can walk to the cave.

Wear comfortable, non-slip shoes as you will need to walk over rocky beach areas.

Especially when walking on wet rocks, they can be more slippery than expected, so be cautious when getting close for photos.

Janggo Port is not a flashy tourist destination but a place to enjoy a leisurely walk while gazing at the sea.

You can see the lighthouse and the naturally formed Yongcheongul Cave, making it a unique travel spot.

If you're looking to experience the sea in Dangjin or find a special place beyond typical tourist spots, check the tide and visit Janggo Port.

Just walking while looking at the blue sea allowed me to momentarily escape from everyday life.
